PnK Curatives

A curative is a special item you can use as a counter-measure for certain attacks or as an antidote for some poisonous item you have chosen to consume because of some other desired side-effect(s) of that item. For example, eating Hearty Blood Stew is usually a bad idea; however, blood stew can make a player almost impervious to all damage for several minutes which you might find useful in certain situations. So armed with the right curative, you can eat the stew and then the curative to eliminate or reduce some of the undesired effects.
Use Edible Clay as a general antidote for poison, to prepare Wild Potatoes for roasting, and to prepare SunFrost Dried Potatoes for Miner's Stew. It is also a primary ingredient of Sedation Cure.
A lightweight version of Sedation Cure. Use Smelling Salts to instantly relieve nausea, blindness, general sluggishness, and exhaustion from hunger. Strong smelling salts will also remove some side-effects of sedation such as Fatigue and Jump Fail.

Use Sedation Cure to counteract a host of detrimental potion effects as inflicted by Albino Apples, Witch's Flesh, Aaaargh! Sedation Potion, and others. If you're going Beanstalk looting, we highly recommend you bring along some of this stuff! Unlike smelling salts, Sedation Cure also works as a food source that restores 4 hunger levels (
) which is usually enough to kick off natural health regeneration if you're hurt.
If you have the Vanilla Food Pantry mod installed, the Sedation Cure recipe below that reuses Golden Sugar is slightly more economical (3 golden nuggets) and can be crafted on-the-go in your player's craft grid.

Take antibiotics if you're suffering from a general infection as from eating putrid food, or suffering from an infected wound as when cut with a weapon made of Stained Bone. A bad infection can severely hamper your health regen, so keeping some antibiotics available is a good idea. Read the Potions page for more information on mod potions like Infection and Resistance III.
Mix Resistance III, Infection III, and Healing II
Use a Bandage to counteract Bleeding damage. Use a Medicated Bandage to also clear up all Wound Infections (this is a much cheaper way to use your Antibiotics in a combat medkit). A bandage is a multi-use item that you can explicitly right-click to apply once or keep on your hotbar while doing activities likely to result in bleeding damage to you. The bandage will automatically stop the bleeding at the cost of 1 durability.

Eat Roasted Grubs as an antidote to Hallucingenic potions like those brewed from Moo Shroo Poo Fungi. Roasted grubs are also a very good source of saturation with 20% more saturation that cooked steak and two hunger levels restored(
). To get roasted grubs you need to harvest some Blighted Wheat or rotting SunFrost Potato Blocks for Blight Grubs to smelt.
Venom antitoxin will clear the Venom effect and stop its ongoing damage. More importantly, the antitoxin removes any accumulated venom toxin and gives the user a small buffer against another venom attack-- the buffer is like a small pre-installed dose of antitoxin; it's used up by the next venom exposure. You can use this buffering to your advantage if you know you'll be exposed to venom; take the antitoxin before and it should neutralize your initial exposure to any venom. Use the rare Pinkly Awesomeness Rainbow Slice to counteract the worst effects of Albino Apples and Hearty Blood Stew. However, when you eat an awesome slice as a curative, its other beneficial effects are diminished. So for example, the effects of damage resistance and damage absorption are neutralized if the slice is used to counteract the withering effect of an Albino Apple or the reduced health of Blood Stew.
