The first release of Barometry: live system stats in your Mac's menu bar, with a detailed dashboard a click away.

Highlights

  • Menu bar modules for CPU, GPU, memory, network, sensors, and battery. Show each as its own menu bar item, or combine them into one item in the order you choose.
  • A dashboard in two styles: an instrument cluster of dials, or a list of rows with live trends. You can hide any section.
  • Details on hover: hover a dashboard section to see its history, breakdown, and top processes, or click it to keep them open.
  • Keep Awake stops idle sleep and keeps the display on. Turn it on from the dashboard's footer or by ⌥-clicking the battery item; a cup on the battery shows when it's on.
  • Settings for temperatures in °C or °F, the network interface, a 1, 2, or 5 second refresh interval, and launch at login.
  • Light on resources: Barometry uses under 1% CPU while idle, and refreshes every second while the dashboard is open.
  • In-app updates through Sparkle. Check for updates or turn on automatic checks in Settings → Updates.

Install

Barometry requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 26 or later.

  • Homebrew: brew install --cask wolfftech/tap/barometry
  • Manual: download the .dmg below, open it, and drag Barometry to /Applications. The app is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Launch Barometry from /Applications. It runs in the menu bar and has no Dock icon. In-app updates work only from /Applications.

Barometry is free software licensed under GPL-3.0-only.
