PackCheck 3.3.1

Version downgrade

  • The version wizard (Change version on the server page) can now go to an older Minecraft version as well as a newer one.
  • PackCheck checks every plugin and mod against the older version, looks for matching builds on Modrinth, and takes a pinned full backup first. It then installs the old server jar and the Java version it needs (for example Java 8 up to 1.16) and test-starts the server. If the test fails, Roll back restores everything.
  • Worlds: an older version cannot open worlds that a newer version has saved, so you choose what happens to them:
    • Restore the worlds from a backup made on that version. PackCheck finds the newest full or worlds backup taken on the target version and offers this option by default when one exists.
    • Start with new worlds. The current worlds are moved to old-worlds/<version>-<time>/; nothing is deleted.
    • Keep the current worlds. This is not recommended: the old version usually refuses them or loses chunks.

Fixes

  • World folders are recognised even before Minecraft has saved them for the first time (a session.lock, region or dimensions folder counts, not only level.dat). Backups and version changes no longer miss such worlds.
  • Long confirmation texts wrap instead of running off the dialog.

For testing

  • The PACKCHECK_DATA environment variable points PackCheck at a different data folder (server list, settings, runtimes). This is useful for test runs that must not touch your real servers, and for portable use.

PackCheck 3.3.0

AI assistant

  • Finishes long jobs. For tasks like "translate every plugin", the assistant first finds every message file. It then keeps a visible task list with one item per file and works through all of them. When it is done it shows a "Task complete" summary. If it stops while items are still open, PackCheck tells it to carry on. One message can now take up to 400 steps in Auto and Bypass, 120 in Normal and 40 in Plan; before 3.3.0 every mode stopped after 12.
  • Thinks between steps: current Claude models (Opus, Sonnet and Fable 4.6 and newer) use adaptive thinking.
  • New tools:
    • find files by pattern (plugins/**/*.yml);
    • search text across the server;
    • read large files in parts;
    • change an exact part of a file instead of rewriting it. Edits are backed up to .packcheck/edits.
  • Server picker in the assistant, independent of the Servers page. Switching servers mid-chat is noted in the chat.
  • Chat history: every conversation is saved. Open earlier chats, search titles and message text, or delete chats. History from older versions is moved over automatically.
  • Attachments:
    • Screenshots and log or config files can be added with + File (Ctrl+O), pasted with Ctrl+V, or dropped on the page.
    • Images are sent as pictures. This needs a model that can see images: Claude, GPT-4o/5, Gemini or Grok-4.
    • Text files are added to the message. Very long logs keep their last 120,000 characters.
  • Automatic retries: busy or rate-limited providers (HTTP 429, 500, 502, 503, 504, 529) are retried automatically with growing waits. The status line shows when a retry happens.

Keyboard and mouse

  • F11: full screen over the whole monitor.
  • Alt+← / Alt+→ and the mouse back/forward buttons: move through pages, servers and server tabs like a browser.
  • Middle click or Ctrl+W: closes the open dialog, wizard or assistant history, or returns an open server tab to Overview.
  • Ctrl+Tab / Ctrl+Shift+Tab: next / previous server tab.
  • Ctrl+1…9: side-menu pages.
  • Ctrl+,: opens settings.
  • F1: lists all shortcuts.
  • In the assistant: Ctrl+H opens history, Ctrl+N starts a new chat.

Other

  • The README shows the current version as text, and the download badge refreshes faster.

PackCheck 3.2.3 – Minecraft server manager for Windows

@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Oct 16:37

PackCheck 3.2.3 – a full CGNAT guide on the Online page.

New

  • CGNAT guide in all five languages: what CGNAT is, how to check it on your router (WAN IP vs. public IP, the 100.64–100.127 range, double NAT), and what to do, easiest first: ask the provider for a public IPv4 address (with the exact sentence to say and local examples per language), use IPv6, use a free playit.gg tunnel (with a button), use a virtual LAN (Tailscale, ZeroTier, Radmin VPN) or rent a small server. When PackCheck detects CGNAT the guide is highlighted.
  • The port forwarding guide on the website has the same CGNAT section.

PackCheck 3.2.2 – Minecraft server manager for Windows

@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Oct 16:27

PackCheck 3.2.2 – the in-app update no longer gets stuck at 100 %.

Fixed

  • Updating could stop at 100 %: after the download, PackCheck asked whether to close ports that were open to the internet. That question kept the app open while the updater waited, so after 60 seconds the update gave up and the window stayed at 100 %. During an update no exit questions are asked now (open ports stay open, so the server is reachable again right after the update).
  • The updater waits up to 3 minutes for PackCheck to close and then ends it instead of giving up, so an update always finishes.
  • After the download the dialog says what happens next: verifying, stopping servers, starting the installer.

If an older version is stuck at 100 %: close PackCheck from the tray menu (answer the ports question if it appears), then download PackCheck-Setup-3.2.2.exe below and run it. Your servers and settings are kept.

PackCheck 3.2.1 – fixes for the dark theme, resource limits and CurseForge.

Fixed

  • Dark theme: profile and platform cards in the create wizard, the settings sidebar, the console's player list and other lists showed black text on a dark background. Every list now follows the theme colors.
  • Resources: the RAM slider stops at the memory this PC really has and the CPU slider at its logical cores (up to 256 GB and 64 cores on machines that have them), in the create wizard, on the server page and for servers created by the assistant.
  • CurseForge key: saved as soon as you type or paste it (no Enter needed); spaces, quotes and line breaks from copying are removed. A new Check key button asks CurseForge and says whether the key works. When CurseForge refuses a key, the Mods page says "API key rejected" instead of a bare "HTTP 403".
  • Online: the English router guide no longer mentions Turkish internet providers; every language gives its own examples.

PackCheck 3.2.0 – Minecraft server manager for Windows

@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Oct 15:31

PackCheck 3.2.0 – Minecraft server manager for Windows. This release adds the tools you need once a server is running for real: performance history, player management, crash diagnosis, safer backups, Discord notifications and a guided version upgrade.

New

  • Performance tab: one sample per minute kept for 7 days. Charts for TPS, tick time (MSPT), CPU, RAM and players over the last hour, 24 hours or 7 days, with a summary and ranked advice (view and simulation distance, entity activation range, memory, GC flags, "Can't keep up" warnings). Run a 30-second spark profile and open the report (spark is built into Paper 1.21+).
  • Players tab: everyone who ever joined, with last seen, play time, IP addresses and accounts that share an IP. Whitelist, op, ban, unban and kick, whether the server is running or not.
  • Crash diagnosis: the crash banner now names the cause – EULA, port in use, out of memory, wrong Java, missing dependency, incompatible mod, mixin failure, plugin error, broken config file (with the line number) or damaged world – and offers a one-click fix.
  • Version upgrade wizard: choose a newer Minecraft version; PackCheck checks every plugin and mod, finds newer builds on Modrinth (verified by SHA-512), takes a pinned full backup, installs the right Java and the new server, test-starts it and rolls back with one click if the test fails.
  • Backups: full, worlds-only or settings-only backups with a note; pin backups so they are never deleted; keep the newest N plus one per day and one per week; copy every backup to a second folder (OneDrive, Google Drive, NAS); restore everything or a single world, with a safety backup first.
  • Discord notifications per server through a webhook: started, stopped, crashed (with the diagnosis), players, lag, backups and automation actions, an optional @here/role mention, a "Send test" button and a "post to Discord" automation action.
  • Server icon and MOTD: turn any image into the 64×64 server icon and edit the two-line MOTD with color and style buttons and a live preview of the server list.
  • More settings: the Properties tab now also edits the main performance settings of bukkit.yml, spigot.yml and Paper's config files, explained in five languages, keeping comments and layout, with a "changed from default" filter.

Fixed

  • Crashes that end with exit code 0 (Paper saves a crash report and shuts down cleanly) are now shown as crashes, so the crash banner and "restart after a crash" work. A forced stop by you is no longer counted as a crash.
  • Backups of a running server no longer fail on files the server keeps open; the world is flushed first and saving is turned back on afterwards.
  • Dates and numbers follow the app language (for example 29.10.2026 18:12 in Turkish).
  • Tick time is read correctly when Java prints decimal commas.
  • A MOTD written by the server in UTF-8 is read without broken characters.

PackCheck 3.1.5 – Minecraft server manager for Windows

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Oct 11:38

New

  • More resources: memory up to 256 GB and up to 64 CPU cores, in the create wizard and on the server page. Choosing more than the PC has shows a warning.
  • Automation triggers: "When a server starts, stops or crashes" – watch this server or any other one and start, stop, restart, back up, run a command, send a chat message or notify you, after an optional delay (for example start the lobby 10 s after the proxy). "When players reach a number" does something once when the count is reached.
  • New screenshots and animations in the README and on the website, taken from this version.

Fixed

  • Console commands with Turkish and other non-English letters arrive correctly (verified on a real server with a clean UTF-8 test).

PackCheck v3.1.4

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Oct 10:50

New

  • Automation tab for every server: start when PackCheck opens, restart after a crash (limited per hour; a manual or forced stop is respected), scheduled restart with a countdown in chat, scheduled backup, scheduled or repeating commands, chat announcements, warn or restart on low TPS or high memory, and stop when the server has been empty for a while. Choose days of the week, run any rule now, see the next and last run, and follow everything in the activity log. "Recommended setup" adds the usual rules in one click.
  • Assistant modes: Ask before changes (default), Plan (looks around and writes a plan; nothing changes until you press Run the plan), Auto-edit files (file edits apply at once with a backup; commands and start/stop still ask) and Bypass (everything without asking, after a confirmation and with a red banner).

Fixed

  • Turkish, German, Russian and other letters in console commands, chat announcements and assistant commands arrived broken on the server.

PackCheck v3.1.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Oct 01:21

Improved

  • Assistant: each step it takes now has a readable title ("Read plugins/Skin/config.yml", "Listed installed plugins and mods"). Click a step to see exactly what was sent and what came back.
  • Assistant: the token counter shows real usage for every provider; when a provider does not report usage while streaming, an estimate is shown (marked with ≈).

Fixed

  • Clicking a server in the tray menu showed "cannot set Visibility while a window is closing".

PackCheck v3.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 29 Oct 01:15

New

  • MSI installer: choose the install folder (Custom → Browse), optional desktop shortcut (on by default), optional start with Windows, and a "Launch PackCheck" box on the last page. Upgrades keep the folder you chose.
  • Backups: delete a backup from the Backups tab (with confirmation).

Fixed

  • Plugins page: the category box showed "CategoryOption { Key = ... }" instead of the category name.
  • Assistant with Google Gemini: the first tool call failed with "HTTP 400 ... missing a thought_signature". The signature Gemini sends with each tool call is now passed back as required.
