The first release of Havus, a lightweight, open-source Mac cleaner that minds its own business. Everything runs locally: no account, no ads, no telemetry and no network access. The app's interface is in casual Indonesian.

What it does

  • Sampah Sistem (system junk): app caches and logs, Mail attachments you opened, iPhone and iPad update files, and the Trash.
  • Sampah Developer (developer junk): Xcode DerivedData, Archives, Device Support and Previews, Simulator caches, and the caches of Homebrew, npm, Yarn, pnpm, CocoaPods, SwiftPM, pip, Go, Gradle, Bun and Cargo.
  • Hapus Aplikasi (uninstaller): removes an app together with its leftovers, or only the leftovers.
  • File Gede & Lama (large and old files): finds big files you rarely open, using the Spotlight index.

You review everything before it's removed, and everything goes to the Trash first, except when you explicitly empty the Trash. The app is 1.5 MB and uses about 34 MB of memory when idle.

Install

Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

  1. Download Havus-0.1.0.zip and Havus-0.1.0.zip.sha256 below, then check the download:

    shasum -a 256 -c Havus-0.1.0.zip.sha256

  2. Unzip it and move Havus.app to your Applications folder.

  3. Open Havus. This release isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS blocks it the first time: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway.

  4. For a complete scan, turn on Havus in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.

Known limitations

  • Not notarized yet. The app's signature changes with every release, so macOS asks for Full Disk Access again after each update.
  • The interface is in Indonesian only. English is on the roadmap.

Bahasa Indonesia

Ini rilis pertama Havus, pembersih Mac yang ringan, open source, dan nggak kepo. Unduh Havus-0.1.0.zip, ekstrak, lalu pindahin Havus.app ke folder Applications. Karena belum di-notarize Apple, waktu pertama kali dibuka kamu perlu ke System Settings → Privacy & Security, lalu klik Open Anyway. Biar hasil scan lengkap, nyalain Havus di Full Disk Access. Semua yang dihapus masuk Tong Sampah dulu, jadi masih bisa dibalikin.
