v0.8.3 — privacy fix & 0.8 UI

@XXGxiaoyu XXGxiaoyu released this 22 Oct 14:51

0.8.3

  • Privacy: removed every screenshot containing real device names, IPs, paths or session titles; rewrote the 0.8.x history so the old commits are unreachable from main. Sample data in the design draft now uses placeholders.
  • UI: session desk with a device rail, whole-row selection, on-demand selection bar with target menu, bottom transfer dock, and shared panel/host settings.
  • 0.8.1: row actions no longer overlap the status chip; the concurrent-transfer setting now explains auto (cap 5) vs manual 1–16.
  • npm: @xxgxiaoyu/dsh-session-sync@0.8.3 (the unscoped name belongs to another project).
  • Tests: 60 passing; CI green.

Choose a tag to compare

@XXGxiaoyu XXGxiaoyu released this 22 Oct 01:05

English

Two visible problems in the device column fixed (from the screenshot: only 3 devices listed, and the row's ⋯ button bleeding into the session pane).

  • No more overflow: box-sizing:border-box on the shell, column and rows — the ⋯ button stays inside the 340px column instead of crossing the 16px gap.
  • Nothing is truncated: the device column scrolls (max-height: min(60vh, 560px)), and a new hint says every discovered or previously seen device is listed, with other subnets scanned from “Network & advanced”.
  • Why only 3: the list length equals what the host has actually discovered. UDP broadcast does not cross routers, so machines on other subnets need a subnet (e.g. 192.168.5.0/24) or ip:port there; saving rescans immediately.
  • New test: renders 30 devices and asserts all 30 rows exist.

Tests: 59.
