XSecurity has moved to XApps

XGoogle, XSecurity and XNotify are now one module: XApps (io.github.leekin2.xapps).

How to update: download XApps-1.0.1.zip below and flash it in KernelSU / Magisk, then restart the phone fully (not a soft reboot). The zip installs XApps, enables it in LSPosed with its scope, moves your XSecurity settings over and removes XSecurity by itself.

⚠️ Do not install only the APK while XSecurity is still installed: two modules hooking the same places break things. If you use the APK, uninstall XSecurity first.

Fixes and additions

• App info controls restored: separate switches for App info actions, the Open / Path / Open by default buttons, and tapping the app icon to launch. Existing installs inherit their previous header setting. Turning off the header buttons restores the stock defaults row while keeping the main actions available.
• App info touch fix: removed a repeated header rebuild that could prevent taps from working. Open, Path, default-link settings, icon launch and the stock Storage row were checked on the phone, including checks after reboot.
• Keep Battery Saver at boot: an optional switch makes Security's extra boot-time close check respect its existing Turn off when charged preference. It does not turn Saver on by itself or override manual changes and schedules.
• Xiaomi Messages options: promotional controls, separate fraud/overseas risk-label switches, an experimental newer-interface option and automatic copying of explicitly marked numeric verification codes. Adapted to Messages 18's notification factory and broadcast PendingIntent path. Copied codes are marked sensitive and are never logged or saved to files. Hiding risk labels reduces the warnings you see.
• Launcher compatibility: preloading and uninstall Report options support matching Java-based Xiaomi Launchers. Native-only Launchers show an unavailable explanation; these two features do not work on the tested Launcher 8.01.02.8593.
• Other fixes: guarded the battery-health callback against unrelated fragments, and avoided writing an immutable framework shared-UID flag. Existing signer/member hooks remain available; the ROM's immutable preload policy is retained.

Installation and verification

• Install XSecurity-1.8.apk over the existing version, open XSecurity and approve the updated scope request. The fixed scope now contains twelve targets, including Messages and Launcher. The signing certificate is unchanged.
• New options default to off; the header-button setting inherits the existing App info action setting. Restart the affected apps after changes; reboot for framework changes.
• 312 host behavior checks passed. The corresponding test build was installed and rebooted on Xiaomi 15 Ultra, HyperOS 4 China OS4.0.0.18; existing switch values were preserved. Messages' five notification hook paths loaded successfully.
• Not yet verified: copying a real incoming verification SMS, or retaining an already-enabled Battery Saver across a physically unplugged reboot. These checks are not claimed as complete. Compatibility with other ROM/app versions varies.
• Advanced installation options can still cause boot or permission problems with incompatible APKs. Existing recovery warnings remain; this release does not make incompatible system APKs compatible.
• AGPL-3.0. HyperCeiler adaptations and icon/library attribution are listed in NOTICE.

New features

• Global VoLTE / VoNR icons: China ROMs hide the original boxed Vo LTE / Vo NR status bar icon that the Global ROM shows. The SystemUI code is identical in both regions (compared with the Global HyperOS 4 SystemUI); only two region checks differ for this icon. XSecurity runs the Global path: the carrier's own drawable choice and the Global visibility collector. 5G SA shows Vo NR, LTE / 4.5G / 5G NSA shows Vo LTE, airplane mode with Wi-Fi calling shows Vo WiFi. The icon only appears while IMS is really registered; the region flag, carrier settings and IMS are not changed. Requires System UI scope.
• SIM settings: VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling menus: shows Xiaomi's own Use VoLTE switch and the Wi-Fi calling Network preferences (Wi-Fi preferred / Mobile preferred) on the SIM card settings page. Xiaomi's secret codes can show these, but the ROM resets them at every boot; XSecurity keeps them on. The carrier values still come from Xiaomi's own code path. Requires the new Phone scope and a reboot.

Tips

• If Wi-Fi calling does not connect while LTE signal is good, set Network preferences to Wi-Fi preferred. With Mobile preferred, calls stay on LTE.
• If Wi-Fi calling stops after changing SA / 5G settings, reboot the phone once.

Installation and compatibility

• Install XSecurity-1.7.apk over the existing version, open XSecurity once and approve the scope request for Phone (com.android.phone). The recommended scope now has ten targets. The signing certificate is unchanged.
• Both new options are off by default. Turn them on, then reboot.
• Tested on Xiaomi 15 Ultra, HyperOS 4 China (OS4.0.0.18): Vo LTE, Vo NR (5G SA, during a call) and Vo WiFi (airplane mode) icons, screen rotation, repeated System UI restarts and reboots, menus kept after reboot. Other HyperOS builds may differ.
• AGPL-3.0; third-party attribution is in NOTICE and the bundled Material icon license.

New features

• Signature verification bypass — preserve SystemUI UID: a new optional installation switch retains the installed SystemUI shared-user identity when an update declares a different one. It handles fresh and cached package parses without modifying the APK or migrating the installed UID.
• Dark-mode app search: search the Individual apps list by app name or package name. Clearing the search restores the list without changing the app switches. Requires Settings in LSPosed scope.
• Shuffled phone lock-screen PIN: a separate option from App lock. Rearranges complete digit keys while preserving PIN verification, delete and emergency controls. Requires System UI scope and a reboot.
• App-info icons: updated Open, Path and Open by default to Material Rounded icons, using the icon family used by LSPosed. The upper Open by default action remains; its lower duplicate stays removed.

Fixes

• Toolbox: complete supported categories in cached Toolbox cards as well as newly generated cards. Keep existing custom/family categories, avoid duplicate shortcuts and skip unavailable destinations.
• Motion sickness relief: improve support detection for newer Security builds and read the actual saved enable state. Requires the ROM implementation and supported sensors.
• Dark-mode app list: include eligible user apps through the ROM's own row builder while preserving per-app settings, including cached-list handling.
• Theme reset: target the periodic theme-reset receiver instead of changing theme-directory permissions. Manual theme changes and crash recovery remain available.
• Updated five-language text and the recommended nine-target LSPosed scope. Existing Gallery removal and Play Store details action are retained.

Installation and compatibility

• Install XSecurity-1.6.apk over the existing version, open XSecurity once and review the recommended scope. The signing certificate is unchanged.
• Framework installation options require System Framework scope and a full reboot. New options are off by default.
• SystemUI UID preservation is experimental. A tester reported a successful SystemUI update; broader device and reboot compatibility is not established. Keep this option and the module enabled while using an update that declares a different shared UID, including after reboot. It does not make an incompatible Android/API or ROM build compatible; signing and persistent-app checks are separate options.
• Advanced users only: an incompatible system APK or disabling UID preservation while a differently-declared update is installed may crash SystemUI or prevent booting. Enable these options only if you know how to recover your device. Both relevant option descriptions now show this warning in all five languages.
• There are now 12 individual signature-verification and installation options. The existing screenshot/screen-recording restriction option remains included; DRM capture is not guaranteed.
• Release build, APK signing, ZIP alignment and integrity checks passed, along with 174 JVM behavior checks. This does not certify every feature on every ROM.
• AGPL-3.0; third-party attribution is in NOTICE and the bundled Material icon license.

Signature verification bypass and screenshots

• Signature verification bypass: eleven individual installation switches, including signer compatibility, downgrades, resource-table alignment, installed-signature compatibility, hidden APIs, shared UID, the verification agent, supported vendor blocklists and persistent system app updates.
• Persistent system app updates: supports the old and new Android framework preparation method names, with deoptimization and limited installation diagnostics.
• Remove screenshot block: the existing switch covers supported FLAG_SECURE screenshot and screen-recording restrictions, including relevant HyperOS capture checks.
• These optional framework features require System Framework scope and a phone reboot. New switches are off by default.

New features

• Background clipboard whitelist: pick which apps may read the clipboard in the background.
• Prevent app-list uploads: optional hook for Xiaomi Guard Provider, with its required LSPosed scope.
• Prevent theme reset: optional setting to keep an applied theme from reverting to default.
• Open in Play Store: a new row below Target SDK in additional app details. Opens Google Play directly, or the Play website if the app is unavailable.

Fixes and cleanup

• Fixed the APK parser adapter's ParseInput.reset compatibility issue.
• Restored the chain icon and Open by default action in the app-info header; removed the duplicate lower row and its empty category.
• Explicit Google Play links keep their selected store instead of being rewritten by the GetApps/chooser options.
• Removed the Gallery / Google Photos backup option, its hook and its LSPosed scope. Opening XSecurity cleans up the retired preference and scope.
• Existing theme, clipboard, app-info and other settings are retained when updating.

Notes

• Install XSecurity-1.5.apk over the existing version, open XSecurity once, review the scope and reboot for framework changes.
• An APK update must match the installed package's shared-user identity. Signature-verification options do not migrate SystemUI or other apps to a different UID.
• ROM-specific support varies; missing targets are reported in LSPosed logs. DRM-protected capture is not guaranteed.
• Release build and APK signature verified; 130 JVM behavior checks passed. This is not a full on-device certification of every feature.

• Hide home screen icon — a switch in the App section; once hidden, open the app from LSPosed.
• Dark mode: list all apps — the "Individual apps" list shows every installed app instead of just a few. (System Framework scope + reboot.)
• App store redirects — show a chooser for market:// links instead of forcing GetApps, so you can pick another store such as Google Play; optionally open GetApps detail pages in a floating window. (System Framework scope + reboot.)
