Agenctx v0.1.0 - Community beta

Agenctx v0.1.0 is the first public community beta of the local, version-controlled context management system for AI coding agents.

Highlights

• Structured and switchable context channels for rules, decisions, warnings, testing, design, security, and custom domains
• Deterministic preview and full-entry retrieval through view and search
• Active, ambient, archived, and pinned context lifecycle
• Human-reviewed agent proposals, capped at two proposals per tracked session
• Concurrent agent sessions with content-addressed, hash-chained served-context receipts
• Local human control plane for context editing, proposal review, session traces, and decay settings
• Deterministic import and guide generation for AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, and .cursorrules
• Local-only operation with no telemetry and no runtime dependencies

Install

npm install --global agenctx

Then initialize a repository:

agenctx init
agenctx --help

Agenctx requires Node.js 18 or later. This is a public beta: compatibility and data migrations will be handled carefully, but feedback from real repositories will shape the path to 1.0.
