The King County House Sales dataset contains information on house sales in King County, which includes the city of Seattle. The dataset includes information on homes sold between May 2014 and May 2015.
The dataset consists of the following columns:
- id: A unique identifier for each home sold.
- date: The date the home was sold.
- price: The sale price of the home.
- bedrooms: The number of bedrooms in the home.
- bathrooms: The number of bathrooms in the home.
- sqft_living: The total living area of the home in square feet.
- sqft_lot: The total lot area of the home in square feet.
- floors: The number of floors in the home.
- waterfront: A binary variable indicating whether the home has a waterfront view.
- view: An index from 0 to 4 of how good the view of the property was.
- condition: An index from 1 to 5 on the condition of the home.
- grade: An index from 1 to 13, where 1-3 falls short of building construction and design, 7 has an average level of construction and design, and 11-13 have a high quality level of construction and design.
- sqft_above: The square footage of the home apart from the basement.
- sqft_basement: The square footage of the basement.
- yr_built: The year the home was built.
- yr_renovated: The year the home was last renovated.
- zipcode: The zipcode of the area the home is located in.
- lat: The latitude of the home.
- long: The longitude of the home.
- sqft_living15: The average square footage of interior housing living space for the nearest 15 neighbors.
- sqft_lot15: The average square footage of the land lots of the nearest 15 neighbors.
With this dataset, a variety of analyses and models can be created to better understand the real estate market trends in King County and Seattle, and to make predictions about future trends and prices.
