donkey 1.9.2 — C-\ says what it did
C-\ says what it did. Emacs switches an input method without a
word, and its one sign is a mode-line field that a custom mode line
need not carry, so the key can look dead; DONKEY now names the
method in the echo area.
Changed -- you will notice these
- Switching an input method says so.
C-\turningrfc1345on in
Insert state says "rfc1345 on", turning it off says "rfc1345 off",
and pressing it in Normal state, where DONKEY puts the method away
until you return to Insert, says "rfc1345 on when you enter INSERT
state". The name is the method's own, asC-h Ispells it; the
SPC ikeys go on using the label you gave them in
donkey-input-methods. - What DONKEY does itself still says nothing. It puts the method
away on the way into Normal state and brings it back on the way
out, on every transition, and an echo there would fire on every
ESCand everyi.
Upgrading
Nothing to do. If you would rather have the silence back, DONKEY
has no option for it, but the messages come from the two hooks named
in the Input Method Management section of the README and can be
removed there.
