This version is probably not compatible with KernelPatch prior to v0.13.9.

Release 2.8.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Sep 00:33

Add new protocol features and version probe
Extend HMKPM with version/probe metadata, V2P batch translation, and in-kernel scan support. This update also fixes release version extraction, documents the new protocol surface, and tightens initialization and page-table handling for lockless/SW PAN scenarios.

Release 2.6.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Aug 06:40
Add write-protection, safety fixes, bump v2.6.0

Multiple safety and correctness changes: bump KPM_VERSION to 2.6.0; include linux/sched; resolve and use __arch_clear_user; sanitize user pointers by clearing the top byte; change pgt_pgtable_to_tkpa to accept an is_write flag and reject writes to read-only descriptors/tables; add a stack bounce buffer (HMKPM_BOUNCE_SIZE) and copy choreography for pgt_rw_mm to avoid in-lock user copies; disallow writes in lockless mode; switch to per-page mmap locking and untag user addresses in single/batch handlers.

Release 2.5.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 23 Aug 02:40
Hook fsnotify to ignore /proc inodes; bump 2.5.0

Bump KPM version to 2.5.0 and add an fsnotify hook to skip notifications for /proc inodes. Introduces PROC_SUPER_MAGIC, minimal inode/super_block structs, is_proc_inode helper, and fsnotify_addr. Installs hook_wrap7 for fsnotify on kernels >= 5.10 and unwraps on cleanup. Also include asm-generic/rwonce.h and switch accesses to hook_active to READ_ONCE/WRITE_ONCE for thread-safety. This prevents fsnotify handling for proc entries and reduces race conditions when toggling the hook.

Release 2.4.1

@github-actions github-actions released this 21 Aug 22:48
Bump to 2.4.1; refactor validate_phys_range

Update KPM version to 2.4.1 and simplify validate_phys_range. Replace the old pgt_phys_offset comparison with a high-bits check ((phys >> 48) != 0) and map the physical address to a virtual address via pgt_phys_to_virt, then delegate full range validation to validate_virt_range. This removes duplicated overflow/limit checks and centralizes validation logic.

Release 2.4.0

Update build flags and some fixes

Makefile: tighten and expand CFLAGS (warnings, std=gnu11, disable PIC/PIE/stack-protector/unwind tables, mcmodel=small), use ld for creating hmkpm.kpm, and remove redundant -O2 from the compile rule.

hmkpm.c: include kconfig.h, bump KPM version to 2.4.0, mark hmkpm_copy_to_kernel_nofault as __maybe_unused, call kp_kconfig_enabled directly (remove weak-null check), and correct STP instruction mask (0xa8000000) used by insn_may_write_reg. These changes improve build correctness and tighten kernel compatibility checks.

Release 2.1.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Aug 21:42
update v2.1.0

added support to disable/enable hook with kpm control
Compatibility with non-GKI-2.0 kernels likely fixed.
