  • Improved automatic account login and switching. The current saved account now syncs with League before switching.
  • Added Play Again under Auto to return to the lobby after a game. Enable Queue too to start matchmaking automatically.
  • Improved OP.GG loading speed across Accounts, Lobby and Live Game.
  • Fixed the LP graph to use saved League sync history and removed the unnecessary source selector.
  • Player names in match details now open their OP.GG profiles. Fixed profiles opening twice.

LP tracking requires Sunshine to be running and the account to be saved. Older matches or matches without a complete recording show “— LP”.

v0.16.0

@Yimikami Yimikami released this 11 Oct 21:25

Sunshine v0.16.0

TL;DR: A more approachable Workshop with texture and effect editing, custom covers, animated loading screens and a Photoshop workflow that remembers your work. PBE and Rainbow collections have their own tabs, OP.GG adds counter-pick and situational build suggestions, keyboard shortcuts are back, and previews do less work in the background.

Workshop

  • One Workshop, easier to navigate. Images, Model, Skill effects, Loading screen, Cover and Project are together in a single workspace. Start from a champion's base skin or another skin, edit your working copy, preview it and export for the default skin.
  • More ways to customize your skin. Paint or recolor textures, replace icons and loading artwork, adjust model parts and materials, and change the color or size of existing effects. Reuse compatible effect parts and keep saved versions of your project.
  • Loading-screen animations. Add shine to your champion card with color, speed and strength controls. Paint areas you want to protect and preview the effect before applying it. You can also create a separate full-screen loading animation from a video.
  • Custom covers. Compose your library cover from images, text or a pose captured from the 3D viewer. Use the source skin's default splash art as a starting point.
  • Layered Photoshop editing. Prepare a PSD with optional model-part layers, edit it in your preferred editor and import the result back into Sunshine. Your working folder and pending edits are remembered after restarting; you can keep editing the same file after each import.
  • More Workshop tools for AI clients. The optional built-in MCP now includes cover, loading artwork, Photoshop exchange and effect-editing tools.
  • More reliable Workshop exports. Improved base-skin exports for skins with appearance changes, and better preservation of texture formats and animation dependencies.
  • Safer editing and recovery. Failed saves keep the previous edit and Undo history intact. Failed folder imports leave no partial project, and Undo removes backups it no longer needs.
  • Local image and video imports. Fixed an issue that could block cover uploads and video preparation in the installed app.

Skin collections

  • PBE skins. A dedicated tab for published PBE skins that have not reached live yet, with the familiar champion browser, previews, chromas and download controls.
  • Rainbow skins. Browse the Rainbow collection in its own tab and switch between included chromas with Ctrl+5 in game.
  • Up-to-date collections. Catalogs refresh as packages are added or removed. Skins that reach live leave the PBE browser, while your installed packages remain manageable.
  • Better download retries. If a PBE or Rainbow package changes while downloading, retrying fetches the updated catalog immediately.
  • Smaller cosmetic downloads. Optimized emote and ward packages take less space in your library while preserving their original visuals, sounds and supported maps.

OP.GG

  • OP.GG counter picks. During champion select, the Ranked view shows visible enemy picks and suggests counters for your chosen lane opponent using matchup results. Banned and already-picked champions are excluded.
  • Situational rune and item options. Get suggestions based on the enemy lineup, with short explanations. Apply a suggested rune page or import an item set with the recommended options listed first.

Marketplace

  • More reliable Marketplace installs. Improved DivineSkins and RuneForge downloads, recovery from temporary connection errors, and Retry behavior.
  • Reinstall without restarting. Previously downloaded skins can be installed again after removal. DivineSkins filters also recover when retrying after a connection problem.

General improvements

  • Keyboard shortcuts are back. Use 1–9 / 0 to switch pages, / to focus search, Ctrl+Enter to apply or stop skins, and ? for a reminder. Typing and open dialogs are protected from accidental shortcuts.
  • Lighter editing. Animated previews pause during matches and when hidden. Photoshop checks reuse existing work and combine overlapping refreshes. Library counts update only when the library changes.
  • Less background work. Reduced unnecessary Party updates and client detection work, and limited cached Marketplace and OP.GG data during longer sessions. Storage usage is calculated when you open its settings without blocking the app.
  • More reliable client updates. Reduced duplicate ARAM requests and prevented delayed responses from an old client or champion-select session from replacing current information. Random skin selection respects pinned skins.
  • Safer library moves. The original library is preserved if its new location cannot be saved, and overlapping settings changes no longer restore an outdated folder path.
  • Account artwork recovery. Inventory artwork retries after temporary connection problems without requiring an app restart.

@Yimikami Yimikami released this 10 Oct 16:47

Sunshine v0.15.2

TL;DR

More reliable Marketplace downloads and installs from DivineSkins and RuneForge.

Fixes and improvements

  • Marketplace installs fixed. Resolved an issue that could prevent downloaded mods from being added to your skin library.
  • RuneForge downloads restored. Fixed downloads failing when RuneForge redirects a mod to its file server.
  • Better connection recovery. Temporary Marketplace connection and server errors are now retried automatically.
  • A more complete Retry. RuneForge's Retry button now reloads champion and map filters along with the catalog.
  • Clearer error messages. Marketplace failures now show the correct message instead of unrelated skin mirror errors.

v0.15.1

Choose a tag to compare

@Yimikami Yimikami released this 09 Oct 22:58

Sunshine v0.15.1

TL;DR

A smoother skin library, faster Enable and Apply actions for large collections, and lighter 3D previews while you play.

Fixes and improvements

  • Faster skin selection. Enabling, disabling and pinning skins no longer reloads your entire collection. This also reduces long waits on Applying… in large libraries.
  • Reliable selection counts. Older background updates no longer overwrite your latest selections or temporarily reset the enabled count.
  • Lighter artwork loading. Custom covers load as their cards come into view, with fewer repeated reads and less memory spent on previews.
  • Less preview overhead. 3D previews pause automatically during a match and resume afterward. Preview rendering is also capped at 30 FPS.
  • Workshop export fix. Edits made from another champion skin now correctly replace the champion's base skin when exported.

Sunshine v0.15.0

TL;DR

3D skin previews, Workshop skin editing, automatic skin repair, experimental TFT companions, and P2P Party connections with optional skin sync. Plus a redesigned Dashboard and improvements to imports, artwork and account sign-in.

Skins and previews

  • 3D skin previews. View installed skins in 3D, play animations and preview supported effects before applying them.
  • Skin repair. Use Repair skin to fix supported issues with custom skins. Enable automatic repair to check new imports and Marketplace downloads as well.
  • Better artwork. Custom skins show their own cover or loading-screen artwork when available. Skin images keep their proportions, and more imports display the correct champion and splash art.
  • Easier browsing. The Dashboard now presents your selected skins in an overlapping carousel. Click a card or use the arrows to browse, then remove a selection directly.
  • Improved imports. Fixed issues opening some .fantome and .modpkg files. You can also open these files directly from Windows.

Workshop

  • Start with a skin you choose. Select a champion and a skin, edit an installed custom skin, or open a skin file to create a project.
  • Make it your own. Edit textures, colors, icons, loading-screen artwork and supported ability effects. Show or hide model parts and preview your changes as you work.
  • Save and share. Undo edits, manage your projects and export a skin with your own name, description, author and version.
  • More control when you need it. Turn on Settings → General → Advanced Workshop for more detailed model, HUD and effect editing.
  • Optional AI and Blender support. Connect a compatible AI assistant through Settings → MCP for help with Workshop projects, or set up Blender support to edit compatible models externally.

TFT — experimental

  • Choose and apply companion appearances directly in Sunshine.

Accounts and Party

  • Saved-account sign-in now enters your details in the official Riot Client. Complete any CAPTCHA or two-factor verification there.
  • Improved account status messages and live-game player name display.
  • P2P Party. Party now uses encrypted peer-to-peer (P2P) connections.
  • Share skin selections with your party. With automatic sync enabled, Sunshine downloads supported catalog skins and keeps selections in sync. Custom skins must be installed locally.

Other improvements

  • Faster repeat 3D previews and smoother loading.
  • Skin application now shows progress and can be cancelled.
  • Clearer troubleshooting information and fewer repeated errors in support logs.
