CODE V Coatings: a new window that writes a design's front or back coating as a CODE V multilayer command file, and reads CODE V coatings back from a .seq or .mul into the design or the Coating Library.
Zemax Coatings: Save to Coating Library, beside Import to the design.
Pulse Analysis: a new window that sends an ultrashort pulse off or through the coating and draws what comes out against its Fourier-limited shape. The pulse is a Gaussian, sech² or super-Gaussian, or a measured spectrum read or typed into the curve editor and kept with the design.
Refresh all: a title bar button that picks up design and catalog files added, changed or deleted outside TFStudio, and AGF files added or changed, then recomputes every open window without closing any.
Optical Evaluation and Inhomogeneities: A (s) and A (p) curves beside the average, on the plot, in the table and CSV, and in the report's spectrum block.
Changed
Design Editor: a new layer continues the stack's alternating high and low layers instead of being a SiO2 placeholder, starting from a SiO2 quarter wave at λ₀ on an empty side; on the Front tab, + Layer adds below the selected row as it does on the Back tab.
Settings: moving the data folder with unsaved designs saves them first, after one confirmation, instead of refusing to move.
Zemax Coatings: laid out like the other Data Exchange windows, with the file panel on the left and its warnings in the top row.
The analysis windows, spectrum exports, report blocks and merit function wizard start at a 0.5 nm wavelength step; a step you saved stays.
Fixed
Design Editor: Delete with several layers selected removes all of them except locked ones, not only the focused one; a collapsed Herpin layer keeps its material when the design is saved and reopened, and one saved by an earlier version gets it back; the mouse wheel steps only the outlined thickness cell, so scrolling the layer list no longer changes thicknesses.
Material Editor: an edited material's n,k and colour reach every design and window at once, a deleted material or catalog stays in the designs that use it, and a catalog of the same name on another computer never stands in for yours. Nothing goes without a word: unsaved changes ask first, a catalog that could not be saved is reported, and adding a refractiveindex.info page or AGF file again keeps your edits.
Project Explorer: a .tfs copied or renamed in Windows Explorer shows as its own design under its file name, and Rename, Delete and Save never act on another design's file; a save over a file another copy of TFStudio changed asks first, and a deleted project folder goes to the Recycle Bin.
File > Open and a double-clicked .tfs show the design in that file, also for a copy of a design already in the tree or a path typed in a terminal.
Unsaved designs are kept even while an optimizer runs, and survive closing the app, a data folder move and a data drive that is not plugged in; undo past a rename keeps the new name.
Zemax Coatings: importing the same COATING.DAT again adds to its catalog instead of replacing it; export writes the materials a design carries with their real index instead of n = 1, and an All catalogs export of a synthesized design defines every layer's material; two materials of the same name are checked and imported one at a time, and a material with lower-case letters in its name imports with Import selected.
n,k Characterization: a fit whose substrate, glass or medium is missing stops with a message instead of fitting against air; Save opens its dialog instead of breaking the window.
Process Exporter: a material edited in the Material Editor changes the finished-layer curves as well as the live one.
Process Exporter, Monitor Worksheet and Material Dispersion: a chip glass or material that is gone is named, and the chips fall back to the substrate, instead of an error or an empty plot.
Systematic Deviations: a sweep over a material the design no longer uses falls back to the thickness sweep instead of showing an old result.
Needle and Gradual Evolution: a Herpin layer's material is never offered as a film to insert, and materials a design carries show their own names and colours.
Report: the spectrum, colour and integrals of a design with a cone angle match the analysis windows.
Curve editor: the quantity boxes in the table heading show T, R, A, Ψ or Δ in full instead of a sliver.
With no design open, windows that work on a design say "No design selected" instead of calculating a hidden placeholder, and imports no longer land in that placeholder and vanish when a design is opened.
Russian, Chinese and Italian windows no longer show English labels in the Merit Function Editor, Filter Design Wizard, Systematic Deviations, Integral Values and the synthesis material pool, and Layer Sensitivity, Inhomogeneities and Systematic Deviations show material names instead of catalog ids.
Report and the Help buttons of the Filter Design, BBM and Mono wizards now always use the app's language.
Wavelength axes keep the range you set in every language and tick on round wavelengths.
Integral Values names the weighting curve in the chart legend.
Plot Engine and Inhomogeneities number layers from the substrate, the same as the Design Editor.
Monte Carlo scales its percent axis to the curve, so a low-reflectance coating gets a readable scale.
BBM and Mono Resulting Performance show the design curve on dark themes.
Stopping Gradual Evolution no longer leaves a running status on screen.
A minimum layer thickness limit no longer swamps the merit function of a bare substrate.
