Release list
Sticky Windows 0.5.0
New
- See a window's tabs before you open it. Hover a parked Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Finder, Terminal or other tabbed window and a list of its tabs fans out beside the edge tab, with a preview of the window and the current tab marked. Click any tab in the list to bring the window out already switched to that tab. Turn it off in Settings → Appearance → List the window's tabs when hovering. Not shown while Hover to Peek is on.
Fixes
- Release tooling: the disk image is no longer code-signed on systems where that corrupts it (the app inside remains signed, notarized and stapled).
Universal (Apple silicon + Intel), macOS 15 or later. Updates arrive automatically through Check for Updates….
Sticky Windows 0.4.1
Extra Large tab size. A new size in Settings → Appearance for bigger tabs and previews.
Requires macOS 15 or later. Universal, notarized. Existing users: Check for Updates… in the menu.
Sticky Windows 0.4.0
Tuck handle. Windows you've parked now show a small amber handle on their top edge, above the traffic lights, while they're out: click it to tuck the window back, Option-click to release it. Turn it off in Settings → General.
Fixes. Tabs no longer disappear after the Mac sleeps and wakes. Moving a revealed window keeps its tab (releasing is now always explicit). Right-clicking a tab closes its preview before the menu opens.
Requires macOS 15 or later. Universal, notarized. Existing users: Check for Updates… in the menu.
Sticky Windows 0.3.0
Rename tabs and groups. Right-click any tab and choose Rename to give it your own name; it shows on the tab, in the fan, and in the menu, and survives relaunches. Groups can be named too, and can mix windows from different apps.
Requires macOS 15 or later. Universal, notarized. Existing users: Check for Updates… in the menu.
Sticky Windows 0.2.0
Tab groups, reworked. Drag a window toward a tab and it fans open with previews of what's inside and a big + to drop on. Group tabs fan open on hover; click a preview to reveal it, drag it out of the fan to make it its own tab, or drag it away from the edge to release it. Group tabs no longer flash or jump when windows join or leave.
Clearer first-run setup. A two-step checklist for Accessibility and Screen Recording, with live status and a one-click relaunch so live hover previews actually turn on.
Requires macOS 15 or later. Universal, notarized. Existing users: Check for Updates… in the menu.
Sticky Windows 0.1.0
First release. Park any window on the left, right, or bottom edge of your screen as a tab; click the tab to bring it back.
Requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. Universal (Apple silicon and Intel), notarized by Apple. Free and open source under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0.
