Prepify turns a photo of a textbook page into a personalized study session. OCR extracts the text, then a multi-agent LLM pipeline turns it into flashcards, quizzes, and tests — generated with the user's own OpenAI key (bring-your-own-key: the pipeline runs entirely from the user's browser, no key stored server-side).
It started as a tool built for one person — the author's daughter. The goal now is to grow it into a showcase-quality, multi-modal educational platform, built almost entirely through an agentic development process, and documented publicly as a case study in what an AI-native side project can look like.
Where to go next:
- Vision — product direction and where this is headed
- Architecture — how the system works today
- Contributing — how work gets proposed, built, and shipped
Architecture decisions with lasting rationale are recorded as ADRs — see the sidebar.
