Renown 0.3.8 — progress persistence fixes

Choose a tag to compare

@absolutejs absolutejs released this 30 Sep 21:40

Renown 0.3.8 fixes progress loss caused by concurrent local saves and sparse cloud syncs.

  • Serialize local progress updates, use durable atomic writes, and refuse to overwrite corrupt saves.
  • Keep previous-save backups and daily local snapshots.
  • Preserve cumulative cloud progress and add daily database recovery history.
  • Resume commit backlogs without skipping work or crediting the same recovered commit twice.

Update with renown upgrade or npm install -g @absolutejs/renown@0.3.8.

This release prevents the identified reset paths. It does not automatically reconstruct progress already lost before installation; recovery requires surviving saves, logs, or repository history.

Validation: 91 tests pass, root and web typechecks pass, and the npm package release gate passes.
