Default PI python version is 2.7 - Spaces/Tabs all need to be fixed

Currently...I am manually fixing the files I need to use, but considering that there were 6 Errors and 221 Warnings in ADAFruit_CharLCD.py alone.

All of the warnings were related to blank lines, space/tab mixings, and the always fun multiples of 4 on tabs.

Can this be resolved across all files or could new branches for everything to the different versions of Python be done?

I am sure the requirements have changed again in Python 3.

I second this request. I, too, have been working on the ADAFruit_CharLCD.py file(s) to get them to work with Py3.1.x. Can this be worked on? I can do it for me, but I'm sure Adafruit would like to have a "blessed" version under their control. :)

Perhaps, with little human intervention,autopep8 could fix most indentaton problems?

Thanks for raising the issue and apologies it took a while to be reviewed. I just went through the CharLCD files and cleaned them up so they should be closer to pep8 compliance (still some warnings about spaces before = and lines too long, but they aren't critical issues like spaces/tabs mixed up) in this commit: f8085fe Will close this one now, thanks!
