Fixed

Detect temporary X11 keyboard grabs and focus changes during text dispatch. A keyboard grab can drop a contiguous block of characters while the keymap and GetInputFocus stay unchanged. The tool now returns an error for detected transitions without replaying input. Thanks @JADRT22 for #272.

The regression proves real byte loss, stable keymap and focused-window snapshots, an error result, and exactly one dispatch. Stable ASCII/Unicode and the earlier layout-change cases remain covered.

This detects input transitions after dispatch. It cannot repair already typed bytes or verify application contents. A grab already active throughout monitoring can escape detection. The controlled reproduction does not establish the historical trigger of the reporter's original capture.

Validation

Full Rust tests, fmt, Clippy, seven real X11 cases, MCP/plugin checks, Pi tests/catalog, and hosted CI passed. Two independent reviews found no actionable issues. Revuto could not authenticate its configured Claude CLI reviewer; the independent-review fallback is recorded in #278.

The patched GTK3/VTE corpus run completed 453 rounds without lost bytes or false errors. The controlled keyboard grab returns an error on the patched build and success on v0.7.21.
