ClawCodex Web — the whole agent in a browser tab

clawcodex web serves the full agent at a stable, typeable address — http://127.0.0.1:8081 — driving the same in-process agent, gateway, and durable sessions as the TUI and Desktop app. Streaming chat with collapsible reasoning, live tool cards (ANSI terminal transcripts, unified diffs, file reads), permission approvals with once/session/always grants, a mid-turn prompt queue, slash completion, a context meter, a live To-dos panel, and light/dark/system themes.

  • Trajectory view: the same run as a metered ledger — every model request and tool call on a three-lane timeline, per-step tokens and timing (TTFT, throughput, cache-hit rate), model time and tool time reported separately.
  • Settings page: provider API keys (add / replace / disconnect, stored where clawcodex login stores them), the default provider new sessions start on, the approvals default with a Full-access confirmation, response language, output style, and the end-of-turn recap toggle.
  • Stable port: 8081 by default (scanning upward when taken; explicit --port refused cleanly when busy). GET / inlines the session token, so the bare URL works — and the server therefore binds loopback only unless --allow-remote.

Windows

First-class CLI support on Windows 10/11 (Git Bash resolution, taskkill /T tree kills, msvcrt file locking, NTFS-aware permissions), the install.ps1 one-click installer, full test suite on windows-latest, and the Desktop app building and packaging natively (NSIS installer).

Fixed

  • A model is session config; default_provider is the global default — closed the chain that made a just-set default appear ignored (a shared spawn-config object rewritten by any cross-provider switch; the client seeding new sessions from the current session's picker state; sessionless model.options borrowing another window's session; half-started sessions poisoning catalog calls).
  • Whole-tier config writers could save a stale cached config.json back, silently reverting a permissions.defaultMode write made through another manager instance.
