InkKit 0.0.17
InkKit 0.0.17 stops saves from rewriting authored Markdown in three situations.
- After a deletion, a block no longer takes the deleted neighbour's source. Typing in a
+list used to save-markers, and an unchanged_Same_used to save as*Same*. - Editing front matter, HTML or other literal Markdown in a CRLF document no longer writes a broken line ending, so Replace All, typing and paste in such documents save instead of being refused.
- A document that opens with a rule and has another
---line no longer reads back as front matter. This had caused every edited block to be saved in canonical form, for example__word__becoming**term**. When a---rule would open such a document, it is now written as***. - If an edit with several candidate pairings cannot be reopened unchanged, a second pairing is tried before the edit is refused.
No public API was added or removed.
Verification includes 929 unit tests, Chromium and targeted WebKit browser regressions, 24 native WKWebView scenarios on the exact candidate archive, and clean packed and registry consumers. One native scenario, outline-source-distant-heading-viewport, fails by 0.083 pixels on macOS 27.0.1; it fails identically on 0.0.15 and 0.0.16 and is tracked in #94. Emulated and synthetic composition tests do not establish every operating-system input method.
