Q: I have multiple accounts, and contacts that will be in multiple accounts. Will I be billed for each contact for each time they appear in an account?
A: Yes - emails are unique to an account, so if one email is in 3 accounts, you will be billed as having three emails.

Q: Do I have to have an unsubscribe link?
A: Yes and no, I have been told you have to have a preferences link in the email, which has to have a link to unsubscribe, but you do not have to have an unsubscribe link in the email itself.

Q: The Subscribe form uses input type="textbox"...I didn't think that was a valid type?
A: It's not, it's a bug or bad coding

Q: I can't edit an HTML document once uploaded?
A: Yep, you can't. Supposedly there is an HTML editor you can ask to have turned on, but they will try to push you not to as it is unsupported.

Q: What are categories?
A: Categories are close to what most other emails providers would call lists. When you create a category, that category can be send an email immediately using a premade segment.

Categories can also be used to build segments - which allow them to also be used to act as an opt out as well.

You can use categories to define each different type of mailing you do, or every list you send to from another email provider.

Categories can be used when creating a custom segment (Both IN CATEGORY and NOT IN CATEGORY) You can write segments using multiple categories (Subscriber is in CATEGORY A, and NOT IN CATEGORY B OR CATEGORY C)

Multiple category fields can be added to any subscribe / preference form. Each category field allows you to pick some or all categories to be displayed in that section.
For instance if you have these following categories:
Newsletter 1
Newsletter 2
Newsletter 3
Feedback and Surveys Partner Emails

You may not want to show all five of those options in the same group. But with categories you can have two category fields on a subscribe form, one category field for newsletters and one for all other emails in which case your first field, you would select only the three newsletters, and the second category field could have one or both of the remaining options.

Q: How do categories differ from Custom Fields?
A: Custom fields can be used in merge tags inside of To lines, subjects and emails and can be used to customize the content in an email built using the drag and drop editor. Categories Custom fields are limited in number (More are available for an additional fee)

Q: How do categories differ from Segments?
A: Categories are simpler to use (Subscribe and unsubscribe) and don't use custom fields to store data. Each category also stores a subscribe and unsubscribe data per subscriber.
Categories create a segment automatically.
Categories can be used when creating a custom segment (Both IN CATEGORY and NOT IN CATEGORY)

Q: My Test Emails are coming in with random names, emails, and other subscriber data, what gives? A: Delivra sends tests (both content tests and mail tests) using a random subscriber's information, so you can see how

Q: What whitelabeling offerings are there?
A: Accounts can be whitelabeled but the service is extremely limited and is similar to Mailchimp, rather than full white labeling offered by companies like Sendgrid.

  • SPF records can be set to include ne16.com domain.
  • Delivra support can provide DKIM keys for your domain. You must contact support to check the records.
  • You should enable DMARC for your domain(s).
