ambykit dashboard now follows your work wherever it happens: across feature worktrees, live as files change, and with which assistant is working on what. Everything is still computed locally: zero model tokens, no network.

Added

Worktree-aware progress. The dashboard reads every feature worktree under .worktrees/ (see ambykit worktree), so progress made in a worktree shows up from any checkout, with the same numbers wherever you run it.

  • Rows read from a worktree carry a checkout tag: ⎇ worktree, ⎇● uncommitted changes, ⎇⊘ branch already merged.
  • A Worktrees & agents panel lists each worktree with its branch and the agent working there.
  • --json --overview adds a checkout to each feature: { "kind": "main" } or { "kind": "worktree", "branch", "dirty", "stale" }.
  • Projects without worktrees look exactly as before.

Live interactive dashboard. ambykit dashboard --interactive repaints within a second when any checkout's specs change, keeping your place and any filter you're typing. The header shows ● live · 3s ago. Where file watching isn't available it polls every 2 s, and if monitoring fails it shows ⚠ live paused; press r to retry. Nothing is watched outside --interactive.

Agent presence. See which assistant is on which feature, phase and task: ● active, ○ idle, or – stale.

  • The phase commands report it themselves through the new ambykit activity command. Markers go to .amby/activity/ and never reach git.
  • In --interactive, running CLI agents (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Copilot CLI, Cursor CLI) are also detected from the process list and marked ~. On Windows these show as "unknown location", because Windows doesn't expose a process's working directory.
  • Tune the thresholds in .amby/config.json: "dashboard": { "activeMinutes": 2, "idleMinutes": 30 }.

New screens. A story detail view (tasks, relations, checkout and agent), a ? help overlay with the glyph legend, and clearer empty states.

Icons. --icons=nerd|unicode|ascii, or AMBYKIT_ICONS=nerd: with a Nerd Font, the worktree tag becomes the git-branch icon.

Changed

  • Phase prompts now self-report. /amby.specify, design, plan, tasks, implement and converge run ambykit activity … with the tool's own id. Run ambykit update in your projects to pick this up. The step's errors are ignored, so assistants without ambykit on PATH are unaffected. In Claude Code, phases without shell access are granted only Bash(ambykit activity:*).
  • The interactive story view is replaced by the new story detail screen.

Fixed

  • Worktree git state is read concurrently, keeping one-shot output under 1 s with 10 worktrees on Windows.
