v0.3.15
Added
- Instagram carousels: when a post has several photos or videos, choose which ones to download. The one your link points to is preselected, or tap "Select all" to get the whole post.
Fixed
- Instagram photo posts now download reliably, in full size.
- Instagram links that include the account name (instagram.com//p/…) are now recognized.
v0.3.14
Added
- Downloads screen: tap the download icon on Home to see every download in progress, from any service, with pause (where supported) and cancel, plus your recent downloads. Tap a saved one to open it.
Changed
- High-quality YouTube, YouTube audio (MP3/M4A) and Pinterest video downloads now share one download path, so they behave the same way.
- Tapping a download notification now opens the app: a download in progress opens the Downloads screen, a finished one opens Library.
Fixed
- If preparing a high-quality YouTube or MP3 download fails, the app now shows an error instead of silently doing nothing.
- Pinterest videos now show real download progress instead of sitting at 0%, and every download shows "Starting download…" until progress arrives.
v0.3.13
Added
- Pinterest: download videos and pictures from pins, including pin.it short links.
Changed
- Notifications and error messages are now shown in Russian and Kazakh too, not only in English.
- The format list appears faster: the app no longer checks for a yt-dlp update every time. Update it in Settings → About → Check for updates; the app suggests this when an error looks like an outdated yt-dlp.
- The link field is cleared once a download starts, so the next link you copy is pasted automatically.
Fixed
- A download that finishes after you've left or closed the app is still saved to your gallery.
- TikTok photo posts now download as photos instead of just their background music.
- Double-tap zoom in the photo viewer now uses the whole screen instead of a narrow frame.
- Library now sorts by when you downloaded something, not by the original date stored in the video.
- Instagram and LinkedIn no longer show several identical unnamed quality options; each option shows its resolution or bitrate.
v0.3.12
Added
- Downloads are now organized into real folders in your gallery — grouped by service and, for YouTube, by playlist. Existing downloads move into the new layout automatically, with a one-time prompt to allow it.
- New setting: Settings -> Save location lets you choose which folder new photos/videos and audio (MP3) get saved to -- and optionally move your existing downloads there too.
Changed
- The audio player now works just like the video player: tap anywhere to show or hide the controls, double-tap left or right to skip +/-10 seconds, and the speed button sits right next to the progress bar.
Fixed
- Changing the save-location folder no longer leaves the old, now-empty folder behind.
- The dropdown menus in Settings are now aligned consistently instead of sitting at different indents.
See the in-app Settings -> About -> What's new screen for Russian and Kazakh translations.
v0.3.11
Added
- You can now share a link straight from YouTube, TikTok, WhatsApp, X, Instagram or LinkedIn into AnyWhere Downloader — pick it from the app's “Share” sheet and the download screen opens with the link already filled in.
- Settings → About now links to the app's open-source code on GitHub.
- Settings → About shows the build number next to the version — handy for telling test builds apart.
- New setting Settings → Playback → Repeat video. It's off by default, so a video now stops when it reaches the end instead of looping — turn it on to loop.
Fixed
- Videos in the player no longer show a green strip along an edge, and screen-recording-style clips no longer look slightly stretched — the player now draws through the same kind of video surface your phone's gallery uses.
0.3.10
Fixed
- YouTube videos saved at 720p or higher no longer play with the audio slightly out of sync - the offset was most noticeable in the phone's gallery app. Merged video and audio now stay aligned, and an audio track fully compatible with MP4 is preferred.
- The quality options for a YouTube download now match the labels YouTube itself shows (1080p, 1440p, ...), including for videos with an unusual aspect ratio, where they used to appear as odd numbers like 960p.
- Some videos - most often WhatsApp statuses - briefly opened stretched with the wrong proportions and only corrected themselves after a swipe. They now show at the right aspect ratio straight away.
- Opening the WhatsApp "Archived" tab for the first time no longer stutters - building its thumbnails no longer blocks the screen while the tab slides in.
- The system "pasted from your clipboard" notice no longer pops up every time you switch back to the app - the clipboard is only read when the link field is empty.
- Clearing the link field with the x no longer stops the same link being auto-pasted again - copy it once more and it fills in.
- Videos in Library and WhatsApp no longer freeze when you tap a point on the progress bar and then drag the slider - seeking by tap and by drag now behave the same way and playback resumes cleanly.
0.3.9
0.3.9
Changed
- The app now ships with a recent yt-dlp built in, so YouTube works right after a fresh install without waiting for the engine to update itself.
- "Check for updates" (Settings → About) now updates the YouTube engine (yt-dlp) in the same tap — a newer yt-dlp is downloaded and installed automatically. The installed yt-dlp version is shown just below it.
Fixed
- On some phones YouTube still failed with an "HTTP 403" error even though Settings said the YouTube engine was up to date — the app was quietly running an old built-in yt-dlp. The bundled engine is now installed reliably regardless of that.
- "Check for updates" no longer freezes on a spinner — it checks in the background, the screen stays responsive, and the row shows the last known result right away and refreshes it once the check finishes.

Fixed
- YouTube downloads that failed with an "HTTP 403" / "SABR streaming" error: the app now keeps its YouTube engine up to date far more reliably (at startup, and retrying after a failed attempt) and works around YouTube's newer streaming restrictions.

0.3.6
Changed
- Rebuilt the full-screen video player (Library and WhatsApp status viewers): tap anywhere to show or hide the controls — only the centre button plays/pauses; double-tap the left or right side to skip 10 seconds; a chunkier progress bar with a round grab handle that highlights while dragged; and a 1× / 1.5× / 2× speed button. Rotate the phone to landscape for a true fullscreen view.
- Status messages (like "Saved") now appear as a small banner at the top instead of a bottom bar that could sit over the navigation.
- The screen stays awake while a video or audio file is playing in the viewer.
