Release list
cc-profiles 0.6.7
Added
- Undo in the message after every change: it restores that change's backup, as Backups → Restore does, and shows the tab again with the files as they are. The message stays 12 seconds, longer while the pointer or the focus is on it.
- Plan limits: while the page is open, cc-profiles checks them every 15 minutes, and says once when a limit reaches 90 %. The Mac app sends a notification instead, also with its window closed, and shows the 5-hour window's use next to its menu bar icon, with every account's limits in its menu.
- Usage tab: Plan limits, a chart per claude.ai account of the highest share of the weekly limit used each day, recorded whenever cc-profiles checks the limits (kept 90 days in
~/.cc-profiles/quota-history.json). - Projects → Assign… lists the projects the rule takes while you type, warns when it would move one that already has a profile, and can make a rule for only this folder.
- Skills, Agents and Memories editors: Cancel puts back what was last saved. It is enabled once something changes.
Changed
- The page is dark by default, as is the Mac app's window until the page loads. The theme picker in the About panel (ⓘ) offers Dark and Light: the System option is gone, and a page that followed the system is now dark.
- About panel: when a new cc-profiles is out, its version number is written in orange.
- Buttons other than the orange ones stand out from the cards: a shade darker in the light theme, lighter in the dark one; text fields and dropdowns have a background of their own too.
- Profiles tab: on each Claude account card, the email, organization and role sit next to the name and plan, and the profiles using it, the account facts and when its limits were checked, with Refresh, share one line under the limits.
- Projects: a project only waiting for a profile is a grey note, listed after the ones to fix, and the number on the tab counts only those to fix.
- Delete a profile: when it has conversations or memories, moving them to another profile is the option already chosen.
- Backups: Restore is an ordinary button (Show changes comes first), and its confirmation lists the steps it undoes.
- Memories: the selected memory card has a dark outline instead of an orange one, which looked like the keyboard focus.
- Projects: Merge into… explains itself when you point at it.
- Memories: the selected project in the list has the same colors as the selected profile above it.
- Compare: Settings lists only the settings that differ, with how many of all; Show all brings back the ones that are the same.
- Compare: rows that differ have a hint of amber instead of a solid background (the differs and only in badges mark them), and the Plugins table has no empty header.
Fixed
- At phone width, Projects and Backups show each row as a card, with the path or title on top and its buttons underneath, and the profile cards go two by two with short labels.
- Dialogs and side panels keep the keyboard focus inside them, and give it back to the button that opened them when they close.
- Placeholders in text fields are readable (WCAG AA contrast) in both themes.
- Settings no longer scrolls sideways at phone width.
- Memories: also show projects without memories has a larger checkbox, and its whole label can be clicked.
cc-profiles 0.6.6
Added
- Settings: a Voice group for Claude Code's voice mode (
voiceinsettings.json, the same as/voice): Voice mode on or off, How to talk (hold to talk, or tap to start and stop) and Send on release. It works with the claude.ai sign-in only. Settings checked against Claude Code 2.1.316. - Profiles tab: Claude accounts, above the profiles, with a card for each claude.ai account they are signed in to: name, email, organization and role, plan (such as Max 5× or Team), member and subscribed since, extra usage, the plan's usage limits (moved here from the profile rows), and the profiles using it, with those whose sign-in is gone and need
/loginagain. Profiles signed in to no account are listed below. - Each account card shows when its limits were checked, with Refresh to ask claude.ai again; the bars take the card's whole width.
- About panel: cc-profiles settings, under the cc-profiles card and apart from Claude Code's settings, gathers the app's own choices: the theme, Plan limits (the plan's usage limits as what is used or what is left), the terminal for Open in Terminal and the daily update check.
Changed
- Profiles → GitHub: every profile now has a commit identity. Left empty, Commits by is filled in from the profile's GitHub account: the name of its GitHub profile and its
…@users.noreply.github.comaddress, which GitHub links to the account (your git config when there is no account). Profiles without one get it when cc-profiles starts, and an identity taken from the account follows it when you pick another account. Every change goes to the backup.
cc-profiles 0.6.5
Added
- Plan usage limits in the Profiles tab: under the account of each profile signed in to claude.ai, how much of the 5-hour window and of the week is used (and of a single model's weekly limit, when the plan has one), with the time each resets; orange from 75 %, red from 90 %. cc-profiles asks claude.ai the way Claude Code's
/usagedoes, with the profile's own sign-in, which it only reads: the token is never stored, shown or refreshed.
Fixed
- Profiles tab at phone width: the buttons go under the profile instead of squeezing its text into a narrow column.
cc-profiles 0.6.4
Changed
- The dialog to delete a profile is clearer: a red Delete profile button, one choice between deleting everything and moving its conversations, memories and history to a profile picked from a list, and Delete it anyway when a session is still open in it.
Fixed
- Check for updates could keep saying there was no new version for a few minutes after a release, because PyPI's cache answered the previous one: the check now asks PyPI past its cache.
- Memories: closing Move memory… right after picking another profile no longer causes a page error.
cc-profiles 0.6.3
Added
- Shared memory: a project's memory can be shared between profiles from the Memories tab (Share with…), so what Claude learns about the project with one account the other knows too. The other profile's own memories of it join the shared ones, after a preview; Separate gives it its own copy again. Conversations, history and settings stay per profile.
Changed
- The theme (System, Light, Dark) is picked in the About panel (ⓘ), with the other cc-profiles settings, instead of a button in the header.
Fixed
- Mac app: the About panel and the dialogs dim the whole window and reach its top edge, instead of leaving the title bar as a band in the page's color above them. The page now runs under the title bar and leaves room for the window's buttons.
cc-profiles 0.6.2
Fixed
- After Homebrew updated Python under a running cc-profiles, buttons such as Check for updates failed with errors like
LookupError: unknown encoding: idna, because the old Python's files were gone. The server now notices, starts again with the new Python, and the page reloads by itself.
cc-profiles 0.6.1
Added
- Open in Terminal on Linux, in a graphical session: GNOME Terminal, Konsole, Xfce Terminal, kitty, Alacritty, WezTerm, Ghostty or the system's default terminal, picked in the About panel when more than one is installed.
- Settings: Idle compaction (
idleCompaction), new in Claude Code's /config: compact a long conversation while the session is idle. Settings checked against Claude Code 2.1.314.
Changed
- The page runs only its own scripts: the Content-Security-Policy no longer allows inline scripts except two with a nonce that changes at every load, so text slipping through unescaped could not run as code. The UI is now
index.html,app.cssand a script file per area, still with no build step.
Fixed
- On a busy Mac some of the page's requests could fail with a reset connection: the server now queues up to 64 connections instead of 5.
- The weekly settings schema check reported Theme and four other /config items as gone after Claude Code 2.1.310, which builds them just before the panel's list: it now looks there too.
cc-profiles 0.6.0
Added
-
/cc-profilesandcc-profiles openshow cc-profiles in the Mac app when it is installed, instead of a browser tab. -
Open in Terminal: a button on every project opens its folder in a new terminal window with Claude Code running in the profile you pick. Terminal, iTerm or Ghostty, chosen in the About panel. On macOS, in the app and in the browser.
-
Mac app: zoom with ⌘+, ⌘− and ⌘0, remembered between launches; ⌘, for Settings, ⌘F to search, ⌘1 to ⌘9 for the tabs.
-
Mac app: a badge on the Dock icon when a new version is out, and one notification per version.
-
Drop a profile's
.zipon the page to import it. In the Mac app, drop a folder to relink a project to it; both also work on the app's Dock icon. -
Mac app: an optional menu bar icon with the server's status and your recent projects, each opening in a terminal with Claude Code; Open at Login.
-
Mac app: if the server stops while the app is open, the app starts it again.
-
Mac app: Open in Claude Code in the Finder (right click on a folder → Quick Actions), in the profile the rules give the folder, or one you pick.
-
Mac app: right-click the Dock icon for your recent projects, each opening in a terminal with Claude Code.
-
Mac app: the window opens where it was, at its size, on the tab it was on.
-
The Mac app is added by itself on macOS: by
install.sh, or the first time cc-profiles starts, however it was installed or updated (pipx, uv, Homebrew). An app you delete stays deleted.install.sh --no-app, orcc-profiles install-app --off, keeps it from being added. -
install.shinstalls with Homebrew when there is neither pipx nor uv.
Changed
install.shupdates cc-profiles with the tool that installed it (pipx, uv or Homebrew) instead of adding a second copy with another; with uv it now really updates, and rebuilds an environment broken by a Python update. It restarts cc-profiles if it was running an older version, and says which version it installed or updated from.- A new icon for the Mac app: the two mascots on a warm dark square lit from above, with a soft light behind them and a shadow under each, easier to spot in the Dock.
- The Mac app's title bar takes the page's background, light or dark, and follows the theme you pick, instead of a grey bar above the page. An app added with 0.5.9 gets both at the next start of cc-profiles.
cc-profiles 0.5.9
Added
- Mac app:
cc-profiles install-appadds~/Applications/cc-profiles.app, cc-profiles in a window of its own with its icon in the Dock, found in Spotlight and Launchpad. It starts the server when it opens and stops it when it quits, if it started it; links to other sites open in your browser and exports go to Downloads. The app is put together on your Mac from a small Swift program shipped with cc-profiles, so macOS opens it without asking for an Apple signature. The About panel (ⓘ) says whether the app is installed and adds or updates it with Add Mac app. cc-profiles keeps it up to date after an update, andcc-profiles uninstallremoves it.
cc-profiles 0.5.8
Added
- Mods in the Plugins tab: plugins of function hooks, which change Claude Code itself, are marked mod, with what they add (pane, band above the prompt, status line, slash commands…), the events they hook, and in orange what they can reach (network, programs, files, model calls), read from their source without running it.
- Copy to… in the Plugins tab copies a plugin installed for every project to another profile as
/pluginwould install it there (files,installed_plugins.jsonentry, marketplace), and enables it, with a backup. - Mods in Compare: the mods only one profile has, with Copy to …, and those turned on in one profile only.
