Is Kitchen Sink Demo needed?

Recently a developer asked me what was better than Sencha and I told him to check out Angular/AngularUI. He was honestly searching not trolling.

He said "it looks like the UI components are not as full featured as Sencha, look at this":

The irony is their demo page is better, cooler, but of course I wouldn't touch Sencha with a 10 foot pole.

So I don't know if this matters or not. I just want to say some developers are influenced by this stuff.

I know what you mean... There are number of "enterprise level" set of widgets for AngularJS... that cost well over $500 ... and download well over 500kb of dependencies... As you I wouldn't touch them.

BUT, it is true that many people will be attracted by slick demo / shiny-looking widgets, even if those are complete mess under the hood... I think that this project would benefit enormously from the slick / shiny demo page. The bitter truth is that we are all volunteers here and non of us is an artist.

I think we should reach out to the community to have someone helping us with the design. Or raise founds to pay for a designer.

So yes, I perfectly understand what you are saying.... but not sure how to act on this immediately :-( If you know anyone who would be willing to help or if yourself would like to help this would be much appreciated.

I'm a noob here.

I do believe you guys saying that angular ui is much better built under the hood, and that's my direction.
Having said that, Sencha extjs does show some interesting features I haven't yet found elsewhere...
I'm specifically looking for a smart data grid such as this one:
