mdMaxlength: Always invalid for input type="number"

An input flagged with type="number" and md-maxlength="#" will always have a validation error whereas
an input flagged with type="tel" works perfectly.

Please make ALL input types usable. It's ignorant to exclude this special input type without a reason.
