Split a step definition file into many scenarios to run in parallel

Hello everyone,

I am using Protractor and cucumberJS (https://github.com/cucumber/cucumber-js).

Can someone please help me how can i split the scenarios in the step definition file to run them in parallel.

you will be able to do this by the next release (or if you use master):

capabilities: {
    'browserName': 'chrome',
    shardTestFiles: true,
    maxInstances: 10
  }

Let me know if this doesn't do what you are expecting

I am not Sure how to retry a failing scenario/ Step ..similar to https://github.com/juliemr/webdriverjs-retry

for my cucumber suite, i dont think ( or may be i m wrong) its not doign what i expected ...I had 4 scenarios in my feature file ..I hoped that those 4 scenarios will run in parallel altogether ...Instead it did open 4 browsers BUT ALL the 4 scenarios run on each browser instance ...

@asmi85 tests are sharded by file, not by scenario, so you'll need to split the scenarios into separate files.

I tried running shardingConf.js that comes with the framework ...its giving me
"config.framework (debugprint) is not a valid framework."

Also i am trying to run my cucumber tests using the below config file...can u tell me whats wrong here

Its not really running the 2 features files in parallel .... what i expected because of that flag ( sharding )

Can you make sure you have the latest version of protractor?

what are you seeing as the error? Or what is the current behavior?
