Signature processing now uses explicit worker-process budgets with one numerical thread per worker, deferred sample reads, dynamic scheduling, and projected AIRR columns.

Model builds honor their thread budgets through annotation and native EM. Automatic native budgets respect CPU allocation, and packed-model retention is bounded. Annotation preserves repair classifications and canonical flags; model checking honors its reference-organism option. Corpus failures propagate and mapped state is released after serial builds.

CI retains existing coverage with expensive reference tests on one matrix leg, records durations, and bounds implicit numerical threads. Manual release dispatch is a build/test dry run. Working Markdown notes are excluded from source distributions.

The compare_models(labels=...) argument is deprecated because it never affected the returned table; use compare_net_dot for graph labels. Unknown annotation model-source names now raise a clear error. Bundled models, corpus artifacts, and scientific thresholds are unchanged.
