  • The release proof works after the merge. GitHub empties a CI run's
    pull-request link once the pull request merges and its branch is deleted,
    so 0.9.80's tag could never prove its checks and wasn't published. A run
    with no link now stands only when its branch has had exactly one pull
    request, ever, and that pull request merged into main. 0.9.80's changes
    ship in this release.
