/dev/std{in,out,err} missing in the sandbox

Many builds depends on /dev/stdin with Makefile rule like foo | bar --in /dev/stdin.

But this does not work in BuildStream (at least 1.4)

So at least podman requires /dev/stdin. This is used by passing input file to element where it then reads its input from stdin. We now have a workaround https://gitlab.com/freedesktop-sdk/freedesktop-sdk/-/blob/master/elements/components/standard-streams.bst that allows build to work out of the box but it would be good to actually fix this on BuildStream side.

Should we open an issue for buildbox-run for this ?

Yes, if that's now the right component. Many distros build it through proc symlinks like in the freedesktop-sdk elements. The names need to be aware of current process
