Many of the http:// URLs in the ASF Parent POM could be https:// instead. It's better to replace any such links with https:// where possible. It's better to prefer security as a default.

A big fan, yes :)

I've recently become concerned about some ISPs injecting ads into my non-TLS web traffic, and there have been recent stories of malware circulating via ad networks. No reason to expose users to man-in-the-middle attacks unnecessarily. :)

Looks like Herve Boutemy got to it before I could offer a patch. I'd suggest only two more changes:

1. The top level: <url>http://www.apache.org/`just above the organization section could behttps://www.apache.org/`
2. The comment which links to http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/DOXIA-526 should actually link to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DOXIA-526
