Status of AI Integration in SQL Lab with Apache Superset #31748

@rusackas I recently came across an article from 2023 mentioning that Apache Superset was planning to integrate AI features into SQL Lab. The article mentioned experimenting with different large language models (LLMs) like GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and Google Bard. I’m curious to know if this feature has been released in any recent version of Apache Superset. If not, is there an update on when it might be available or the progress of this initiative? Thank you! It has not been built into Superset itself for a whole host of reasons, from licensing to pricing, to privacy, to the rapidly changing landscape of models, etc. Instead, we at Preset (a private company, though we're deeply committed to Apache Superset in many ways), added the feature on our commercial offering of Superset. It should be possible to make a generic chat feature in the OSS version, and have the users provide their own OpenAPI compatible backend? |
