What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.trying to write(0) or print with a (0) in arduino 1
2.I see sketches do this in the past.
3.I had to write a 64 instead of a "0" when trying to chreat lcd character

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
"ambigious" will not compile

What version of the Arduino software are you using? On what operating
system? Which Arduino board are you using? arduino 1, uno R3

As incorrect as this sketch is, it compiles fine for the latest build:

void setup() {
  Serial.print(0);
  Serial.write(0);
}

void loop() {}

Sketch uses 1,892 bytes (5%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32,256 bytes.
Global variables use 182 bytes (8%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1,866 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes.
