[Arduino IDE] Mac OS Mojave menu lag

OS: macOS 10.14.6
Arduino IDE:1.8.10
Computer: Mac mini 2018

An annoying issue is happening on macOS Mojave on Mac Book mini 2018 related to the application interface. Sometimes when I'm moving the mouse from the editor window to the top menu I'm getting a lag of approx 1-2s till the menu is appearing. This is happening on all versions of Arduino ide(1.8.6-1.8.10) and also on beta builds.

This is strange because on my MacBook Pro I'm not having this issue. Can this be related to different monitor sizes? On Mac mini, I'm using a 4k monitor.

I see an old issue here and my seams similar to this, but that issue appears as closed.

I will close this issue because it seems that by upgrading to CATALINA problem disapeared.
