Nearby Drop v2.3.5

Nearby Drop 2.3.5 adds first-party diagnostics to help understand installation activity and compatibility across Macs and nearby devices.

• Review the diagnostics choice before reports begin, including after upgrading. Turn reporting off in Settings at any time.
• Reports include app version, broad macOS version, Mac model identifier and advertised name, a random installation ID, and hour-rounded timestamps. Successful wireless transfers include direction and the peer's advertised name and broad device type. Device names can identify their owners.
• Reports exclude filenames, paths, file contents, transfer history, and peer device identifiers. The sharing protocol does not expose a verified phone model or Android OS version.
• Failed reports are queued for up to seven days, capped at 200 events. Disabling reporting clears queued events. Server reports expire after 90 days, and ingestion and dashboard login have rate limits.

Privacy policy

Requires macOS 14 or later. Universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel. The app uses ad hoc signing and Sparkle-signed update metadata; it is not Apple-notarized.
