QuiverDB v1.2.2 — snapshot hardening & observability

Highlights

  • Snapshot correctness under churn: freeze KV pages before free (Phase 1 snapshots remain consistent under heavy updates).
  • Faster/safer startup recovery: WAL replay now performs LSN‑gating before ensure_allocated (avoids needless allocations for stale frames).
  • Structured logs in replay/backup/restore (env_logger). Enable with: RUST_LOG=info ./quiverdb … (or debug).
  • New metric: snapshot_fallback_scans (visible in quiverdb metrics and metrics --json).
  • Python bindings updated to pyo3 0.26 (Bound API).

Compatibility

  • On-disk formats unchanged (meta v3, page v2, WAL v1). No migrations required.
  • Backward/forward compatible within 1.x.

Upgrade notes

  • Drop‑in upgrade. For better diagnostics set RUST_LOG=info (or debug) when running the CLI.
