The vendored web component is
@artooi/ag-ui-web-component@0.40.0(was
0.39.0). The committed bundle is byte-identical to the published package,
whichvendor-bundle-verifyasserts on every run.Most of what it brings is repair rather than new surface. A tool card called
with no arguments stops drawing an empty ARGUMENTS region, and an empty row of
skill chips stops taking space above the composer. A checkpoint continuation
now waits for the run in flight, is let go of when its first save fails, keeps
the continued exchange with its conversation, and parks a turn typed between
picking a checkpoint and its run starting. An element removed from the document
and inserted again is treated as one element rather than two.Two changes are visible on a phone, which is where the admin sidebar is
hardest to use. A full-screen panel stays on the visible screen when a keyboard
opens under it, and no longer runs under Safari's bars when there is no
keyboard. On a viewport 600px wide or narrower the composer now stays at the
foot of the panel with the greeting over the space above it, instead of being
centred halfway up with an empty band under it -- which matters for
PLACEMENT = "page", the one placement that shows a greeting by default. -
The adoption pass found no host wiring owed, which is a result rather than a
skipped step. 0.40.0 has noAddedsection at all: both of its changes are
on by default.askUserRendererfalling back to the built-in question card on
a throw needs no call here, because this package sets no renderer; and the
small-viewport composer is the default shape, withdata-small-viewport="off"
available as an opt-out that no setting surfaces, because the docked shape is
the one an admin on a phone wants. -
Floored at
django-ag-ui>=0.61(was>=0.60). 0.61's SSE response carries
a heartbeat, so the silence while a model thinks or a slow admin tool runs
stops reading as a dead connection to the proxies in front of a Django
deployment -- an AWS Application Load Balancer and nginx each cut an idle
stream at 60 seconds by default, and a sidebar answering a real question is
regularly quieter than that. Below the floor the connection closes mid-run and
the answer never arrives, which is indistinguishable from the agent failing.
0.61 also stops a delegated sub-agent running on after the client that asked
for it has gone, which in an admin is the ordinary case rather than an edge
one: the sidebar lives on a changelist and a user clicks through mid-run. -
The
[mcp]extra is floored atdjangorestframework-mcp-server>=0.46(was
>=0.45). AServiceSpecdeclaringmany=Truenow registers as a tool
taking its list under one named argument, so anMCPServercarrying a bulk
spec reaches the agent as a tool whose result the card renders as a list, where
registration below this floor refused the spec and offered the agent nothing
for it. 0.46 also stops amany=Truechain step collapsing its list to one
row, and refuses a chain inheriting such a step'sinput_serializer. It floors
djangorestframework-servicesat 0.53.0 in turn, and hard: below it a bridged
tool call raisesTypeErrorwhile the package still imports. -
Floored at
django-pydantic-agent>=0.24(was>=0.23), which buys this
package no behaviour. That release changes no code in
django-pydantic-agent; it raises that package's own extras onto the drf-mcp
band the[mcp]extra now declares. It is stated for the reason the whole
dependency is stated rather than left transitive:django-ag-ui0.61 requires
it anyway, and the row answers which version works rather than which one would
arrive on its own.
