  • A call that leaves out the argument naming a row is now one retry the
model can correct, not a failed call.
    Floors the [mcp] extra at
    djangorestframework-mcp-server>=0.50 (was >=0.49), django-ag-ui>=0.67
(was >=0.65) and django-pydantic-agent>=0.27 (was >=0.26), which move
together. On a sidebar given drf_mcp_server=, a bridged tool's input schema
now requires what a call needs: the lookup a service tool resolves its row
through, typically pk, and a selector parameter with no default. Below the
floor a call that left the argument out raised the lookup's TypeError.
Under the default TOOL_FAILURE policy that reached the sidebar as a failed
call with its text withheld, and the model was told not to retry. It is now a
retry naming the argument, and the next call reaches the row. drf-mcp 0.50
floors djangorestframework-services at 0.55. The retry's text reaches the
browser, as every argument-validation retry's already does; it names only the
arguments the model left out, never a value it sent.

  • A capability or audit logger forwarded to the server sees the tool's own
    exception.
    django-pydantic-agent 0.27 pins its tool-failure policy
outermost and its audit capability innermost. The admin uses neither
directly; it forwards capabilities= and audit_logger= to AGUIServer
through its keyword arguments, so two things change for what a project
forwards. A capability passed through is handed the tool's own exception in
its error hook, where it was handed the policy's redacted copy, unless it
pins itself innermost. And a call the tool guard held is recorded by
audit_logger= only once it is resumed and runs; a tool that defers itself
is no longer recorded as a failure. 0.27 also raises that package's own
    extras onto drf-mcp 0.50 and djangorestframework-pydantic-ai 0.33, the
    paired band.

  • An install now reaches the current pydantic-ai. django-ag-ui 0.67
depends on pydantic-ai-slim[ui] where it had [ag-ui]. From 2.47 the
[ag-ui] extra caps ag-ui-protocol below 1.0 while django-ag-ui has needed
    1.0 since 0.63, so below 0.67 a resolver settled on pydantic-ai-slim 2.46 at
most and said nothing; this repository's lock was on 2.43. 0.67 is the floor at
which an admin install reaches the pydantic-ai that django-pydantic-agent
0.27's work targets. The floor alone does not move an already-resolved
    pydantic-ai-slim
, because 2.46 still satisfies django-ag-ui's own floor
on it. Upgrade it by name: uv lock --upgrade-package django-admin-agent --upgrade-package pydantic-ai-slim, or pip install -U django-admin-agent pydantic-ai-slim. A project that depends on pydantic-ai-slim[ag-ui] or
pydantic-ai[ag-ui] itself should switch it to [ui], since either one
brings the cap back. uv.lock here now resolves pydantic-ai-slim 2.54.0
    (was 2.43.0).

Nothing else is owed on upgrade. No web component change ships in this
release, and the sidebar needs no code change for any of the three floors.
