What's Changed

Added

  • gmlx launch dsh runs the DeepSeek Harness web app, 0.1.7 or newer, on a
local model, and --dsh-profile boots another dsh profile, such as a
terminal UI, the same way. A --patch file registers the server as two
providers, one with thinking off that also writes session titles.
  • gmlx serve warns at load when a model's chat template drops message text
that the server passes as a list of parts, as some Qwen3.5 fine-tunes do.
The warning names the settings that replace the template.

Fixed

  • /v1/chat/completions ignored max_completion_tokens, OpenAI's current
name for the output cap. It now sets the cap and wins over max_tokens
and a profile value, so omp and other pi-ai clients get the cap they send.
  • The server's max_kv_size, set for a model or with gmlx serve --max-kv-size, did not cap the request context budget. Requests over it
now get the overflow 400, and /v1/models caps context_length at it.
  • A 400 for a request over the context budget or the memory preflight did
not read as a context overflow to agent clients, so they stopped instead of
compacting. Both messages now start with prompt is too long.
  • A streaming /v1/messages request that did not fit got a 500, which
Claude Code retries, and left a traceback in the server log. It now gets
the overflow 400 with no traceback.
  • gmlx launch pi left pi sending a store field the server does not read,
which logged an ignored-parameter warning on every request. pi now sends
its output cap as max_tokens and no store.
  • A thinking request field in the z.ai form with a clear_thinking key, as
pi-ai sends it, was ignored as unrecognized. The server now applies the switch
and maps clear_thinking onto the variable the template reads.
  • gmlx installs with Homebrew on macOS 26.2 and newer, as
brew install asher/gmlx/gmlx, with every extra and ffmpeg included.
  • Login items and background servers record the interpreter by a path that
survives brew upgrade, and install hints name brew reinstall for a
    Homebrew install.
