Release list
GatorPath v0.1.0
First release of GatorPath: an MCP server that helps SF State students plan their degree with an AI assistant
(Claude Code, Codex CLI, Claude Desktop). The AI suggests; the code checks every plan against the Bulletin.
Install
Download gatorpath.zip below (the code plus the course catalog), then follow
Setup in the README. macOS only so far.
What's in it
- 18 tools and a Plan my degree prompt: import a DPR or transcript (your name and ID are dropped), audit what's
left, build a semester plan and check it (check_plan), pick major and GE electives by goal, find a first-term
schedule with no time clashes, compare another major, and save your profile only when you ask. Clients without
MCP prompts (Codex CLI) get the same steps fromget_planning_steps. - Rules: BS Computer Science and BS Applied Mathematics, written by hand for the 2024-25, 2025-26 and 2026-27
catalog years; 106 other bachelor's programs for 2026-27 (plus BA Psychology for 2025-26), drafted by AI from the
Bulletin and checked automatically, not yet signed off by a person (verified: false). - Data: the 2026-27 Bulletin's courses and prerequisites; Class Search offering history from Spring 2023 to
Spring 2027 for CSC, MATH, PHYS, PSY and SXS, and the Spring 2027 schedule for 89 more subjects.
Evals
47 questions on synthetic students, run through Claude Code and Codex CLI with only GatorPath attached (2026-10-29):
45/47 passed on each, 0 hallucinated course codes. After the fixes of 2026-10-30, a rerun of the 15 plan questions
passed 15/15 on both clients. Details: README and evals/REPORT.md.
Known limits
See Limitations. In short: only BS CS 2025-26 is signed off
by a person, other subjects' offering data covers one term, and GatorPath is not affiliated with San Francisco State
University: always confirm with your advisor and your official Degree Progress Report.
