Pulsar 0.33.0
--role qualitysigue valiendo y equivale a Diseño.
Highlights
- Your agents know who's on what. An agent no longer asks every session: with
pulsar agent whoit sees the agents open across all your spaces, with their folder, branch, title and status, and writes only to the right one. Between agents of the same project the message goes straight through; to another space, too, if you asked it to in that turn. Otherwise Pulsar holds it in a card at the foot of the agent that's writing with the exact text, and it only goes out when you click “Send”.
Good to know
- Brief · Brief is retired: the overview (⌘0), the Shade, Gmail and Mail email, calendar, reminders and
pulsar vistaare gone. Pulsar no longer asks for Calendar and Reminders permissions.
New
- Agents ·
pulsar agent who [text]lists every open agent and how it relates to whoever asks (you, your task, same project or another space), and for Claude Code the exact address of its session. It never shows what another agent is doing: not its screen, questions or reports. - Agents ·
pulsar agent sendalso reaches agents you didn't launch, with a Pulsar header saying who's writing and how to reply. It always asks for your OK if the sender isn't an agent, if the target runs without permissions, if the message is long or if it goes over the limits; if you dismiss it, that agent waits longer each time before it can ask again.
Improvements
- Agents · The “Quality” role splits into Design (mockups and bringing them into the app) and Testing (browser or viewer tests and critical review), each with its own model and effort. Testing goes one step down by default, since tests are long and take many turns.
--role qualitystill works and means Design. - Integrations · The Pulsar skill for Codex, Claude and ChatGPT makes clear that inside a Pulsar pane agents are handled with
pulsar agent …and not with thepulsar_*tools, which don't show up there.
Fixes
- Integrations · If a Codex agent doesn't pass
PULSAR_PANE_IDto its commands (withshell_environment_policy.inherit = "core"),pulsar agent, browserandboardnow tell it which pane is its own and how to repeat the command, instead of a bare error. Nothing runs without that variable, as before.
Pulsar 0.32.0
Nuevo
New
- Browser · A virtual clock for testing animations:
pulsar browser animations clock pause | advance <ms> | play | statusfreezes the page's time (rAF, timers,Date, CSS and SMIL) and moves it forward frame by frame, so a screenshot right after shows that exact instant. - Browser ·
pulsar browser perf -- <action>measures while an action runs (e.g. a click) and--from-mark/--to-marktrims to the frames between twoperformance.marks.perf,waitandexpectsurvive a navigation halfway through.
Improvements
- Browser · An agent's browser bar on its card is cleaner: a single maximize button (the header's), the × to close its browser inside the face switcher's 🌐 and “Open in the viewer” among the header tools. The browser row is just for the page: the console shows only with errors or when open (otherwise in “⋯” and with ⌥⌘C), Share is an icon that lights up when live, and pop-up window tabs carry their page's title.
- Agents · “Can’t right now” on a pop-up window no longer interrupts the agent or costs it a turn: it closes it and the agent finds out on its next browser command. If it was waiting on it, its command no longer reports it as done, and a
pulsar browser askquestion on a page that closes stops waiting right away. - Browser ·
pulsar browser wait --time 5(or2s,500ms) pauses for a fixed time andviewport resetgoes back to desktop. Notices (a simulated size still set, a free browser adopted) come out separately, without mixing with what a script reads.
Fixes
- Browser · When an agent's browser opens a pop-up window, “See its browser” shows it and the notice goes away (before, it stayed no matter how many times you clicked it).
- Browser · With a simulated screen size (e.g. 1440×900) in a smaller pane,
svhandlvhmeasure that size and not the pane's: full-screen pages look as they would in a real browser.
Pulsar 0.31.0
Nuevo
New
- Viewer · Choosing between audio and video is much easier:
pulsar media askopens a quick list you move through with the arrow keys and the space bar, with up to 24 options, picking several or “None”, blind tests (--ciegas, no names in sight) and matched loudness (--igualar-volumen, without touching your files). Compare together plays up to 6 in sync. You can answer from the iPhone too. - Performance · A real GPU queue:
pulsar lock gpu -- <command>lines up renders, ffmpeg and models one at a time and waits when memory is tight. When it finishes, pulsar lockreports how long it ran, how long it waited and the peak memory (also with--json), and--read-onlykeeps read-only work from waiting on a folder.
Improvements
- Agents · Whoever coordinates helpers finally knows when they're really done:
pulsar agent wait --reportwaits for the report, not the end of the turn, andpulsar agent watchkeeps watching until each task reports or closes, telling apart whether it reported, is still working in the background or stopped without reporting. - Agents · When a task needs attention, the notice says what it's waiting for (a viewer choice with its question, a permission or a question) and who answers it, and it no longer repeats.
- Agents ·
pulsar agent reportnever rejects a report over a long--checksname or one with spaces: it fixes it and warns. Outside a git repo, the receipt records the files produced with their size, SHA-256 fingerprint and duration. - Browser · In Chrome, Dia and Arc, the agent's
click, pressandtypecount as a person's gesture: a page's audio plays without needingclick --real. - Agents · Help gets to the point:
pulsar <group> help <action>(or<action> --help) shows just that action. Andpulsar agent spawn --file brief.mdlaunches a task from a file (before, it launched the text “brief.md”).
Fixes
- Viewer · Opening another file in the viewer no longer cancels a pending choice: it opens in another viewer and the question keeps waiting.
- Browser ·
pulsar browser evalhonors--timeout(up to 165 s) in the built-in browser and in Chrome, and never runs a script again when it fails while running (before, it could repeat, for example, a submission).
Pulsar 0.30.0
Nuevo
New
- Viewer · Play videos and audio right in the grid of the viewer and of Compare (▶ and a mini bar in each cell); when you open them large they continue from the same second.
Improvements
- Appearance · In light mode, the bar behind your messages in Claude Code is easier to read: the terminal whites are now light grays with black text.
- Dictation · If Pulsar Voice stops responding for any other reason, it restarts on its own within seconds.
Fixes
- Viewer · The playback bar no longer stays at zero when you open a video or audio large from the grid.
- Dictation · Pulsar Voice no longer stops dictating when you plug or unplug a microphone or AirPods: it could hang and ignore the key until you restarted your Mac.
Pulsar 0.29.0
Highlights
- A lighter top bar. Your space, its branch and the work mode sit together in one plate on the left; the mode shows as a level of bars. In the middle, an island tells you how many agents are waiting for you (in amber, with ⌥⌘↵ to jump to the next question) and how many are working. Hover the island to see the breakdown by state and by space; click a state to go to its next agent.
Improvements
- Panes · Automatic now shows just its switch (the word appears on hover) and Arrange only appears in Fixed, as an icon. ⌘⇧G and the menu work as before.
Fixes
- Viewer · The viewer no longer shrinks images to a quarter of their size: the thumbnail strip took up half the panel. It happened in the panel, on the stage and in the preview of received items.
Pulsar 0.28.1
Arreglos
Fixes
- Brief · Settings › Brief › Email now shows your Mail accounts: it used to say "Couldn't read Mail's accounts" even with permission granted. Attachments of Mail emails are read correctly too.
Pulsar 0.28.0
- Tus reuniones pasadas, a mano.
Highlights
- The Brief bar does what you ask. Type or dictate in the overview bar (⌘K) what you want to see —"show me pending emails", "what are my agents doing"— and the agent you pick (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or Grok) at the effort you pick does it for you in a visible panel that gets reused. Agent and effort are always shown in the bar itself, and you see what it's doing at every moment. "Back", "pin" and numbers still work instantly, without an agent.
- Your Mail email in Brief. In Settings › Brief › Email, turn on Mail email, grant permission and choose which of the accounts you already have in Mail come in (Gmail, iCloud, Exchange or IMAP). It's read and summarized on your Mac with Apple Intelligence; work accounts are never saved to disk. If Mail is closed, Pulsar opens it hidden when you open the overview.
- Your past meetings, at hand. Meetings transcribed by Pulsar Voice are no longer just for your agents: open the meetings window (⌃⌘M) and, with no live meeting, you'll see past ones by day. In each you can search, rename speakers, ask an agent, copy it as Markdown, export it, open it in the viewer or delete it with undo. When you stop a transcription it tells you it's saved. In Settings › Dictation › Privacy you choose how long they're kept: until you delete them, 30 or 90 days. Still experimental.
Good to know
- Security · To read your email, Pulsar asks for permission to control Mail. If you grant it, the agents in your terminals will be able to use Mail too (read and send). macOS may also ask you about other apps when an agent tries: if you didn't expect it, click Don't Allow. You can revoke it in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Automation.
New
- Agents · Agents can change what the overview shows with
pulsar vista(and thepulsar_vistaMCP tool): focus a piece, filter email by account or date, show earlier files and images, open a board or an email's summary, and suggest delegating. Private things (email, calendar, chat) only open directly when you ask; if an agent tries on its own, it suggests it and you open it. - Agents · Clean up has a section for hibernated agents so you can close them and clear the shelf; nothing closes on its own and it warns you if a task still holds a report.
Improvements
- Brief · Brief buttons work on the first click: no more waiting or moving the mouse inside before clicking. They still don't accept clicks made by an agent.
- Brief · Connections explains each source: what it reads, when it last read and what's failing, with the fix right there (retry, grant permission, go to its place in Settings) without leaving the overview.
Fixes
- Performance · The top bar no longer measures itself twice in the same frame at launch or when changing zoom.
- Agents · Codex agents' status correctly recognizes when they finish, get interrupted or exit, and a late indicator no longer reopens a finished turn.
- Dictation · The Pulsar Voice indicator no longer leaves a gray rectangle around its shadow and follows Pulsar's light mode.
- Share live · When sharing live, a rejection from Pulsar Cloud is no longer shown as "didn't respond": each case says what happened.
Pulsar 0.27.0
Highlights
- Brief (experimental). One view that gathers what you shouldn't miss: your meetings and reminders, the agents waiting for you and their questions, PRs and repos with changes, and your team chat, ordered by what matters most right now. It's off: turn it on in Settings › Brief and open it with ⌘0. From there you open what needs you, mark things done or hand something to an agent. When it's off, nothing runs in the background. Email comes in a later version.
Good to know
- Brief · With Brief on, ⌘0 opens the overview and "Actual text size" moves to ⌥⌘0. When it's off, ⌘0 works as always.
New
- Brief · With Brief on, the Island in the top bar shows your next meeting and how many things need you, and ⌥⌘R pulls down the Shade with what matters most without moving or resizing your terminals.
- Brief · Your apps (optional, off): if you use Claude Code with the Vercel or Supabase connectors, Brief tells you about failed deploys and errors by reading with your own account, read-only. Each pass uses a little of your plan.
- Brief · Brief adapts to a laptop screen: the center gets narrower and the rest goes into slimmer cards or a single column instead of hiding.
Improvements
- Panes · A ⌘ shortcut that does nothing no longer types text into the terminal.
- Security · Buttons that only you can press (confirm, send, admit…) reject fewer normal clicks right after you bring the window to the front, and still reject those made by an agent.
Pulsar 0.26.0
Highlights
- Sharp presentations in video calls. The window you share in Zoom, Meet or Teams is always a true 1920×1080 and stays behind Pulsar: no need to enlarge it, and it no longer covers your screen. Present from the presenter view and use "Show call window" to pick it in the call.
Improvements
- Board · Changing slides is faster: the previous and next slides stay ready, their images load ahead of time, and the presenter view shows slides you've already seen instantly.
- Board · On the Board, an agent's cursor only shows while it's working: its name fades right away and no label stays on top of what it did. "Go to what it did" points it out for a moment.
Pulsar 0.25.0
Highlights
- More reliable Codex questions and status. Pulsar more reliably identifies when Codex finishes, works or needs an answer. Multi-part questions keep each answer in the right place, and coordinating agents can answer their helpers' questions without granting execution permissions.
- Lighter images and documents. The viewer shares file monitoring and limits simultaneous reads and image decoding. Switching documents or closing a pane cancels its pending work without interrupting other viewers using the same file.
New
- Agents · Agent signatures let you inspect observed models and usage per task, alongside the choice recorded at launch.
Improvements
- Agents · Tasks can declare difficulty and risk to select a model and effort according to the project's work mode. Receipts distinguish reported checks from available evidence.
- Performance · Build coordination accounts for sustained agent CPU load. Project instructions are loaded by area to avoid unnecessary context.
Fixes
- Agents · Internal Codex threads and duplicate notifications are no longer confused with completion of the visible task. A generic notification is no longer treated as a permission request on its own.
- Agents · Answers recheck the question, session and lock before writing. Simultaneous messages no longer interleave, and Pulsar warns when an unsent draft remains.
- Agents · When Codex takes time to record an answer, Pulsar shows that confirmation is pending and prevents duplicate delivery. Unanswered parts retain their own question.
- Agents · Task waits and watches are cancelled when their caller disconnects. Question changes are announced even when the agent keeps the same status.
- Agents · Hibernated tasks no longer occupy active capacity. Waking a task rechecks capacity and preserves its identity.
- Appearance · Fixes optical font sizing, shadows in view snapshots and native view reuse when switching sessions.
