The authentication endpoint for Twitter is currently:
https://twitter.com/oauth/authenticate
As per Twitter's docs, it should be:
https://API.twitter.com/oauth/authenticate
The current endpoint causes mobile devices to incorrectly deep-link to the Twitter app as discussed on this thread (the above solution is also proposed here).
