Taurus now runs natively on macOS, signed and notarised, next to Windows.
Downloads
| Platform | File |
|---|---|
| macOS, Apple Silicon (M1 and later) | Taurus_0.7.7_arm64.dmg |
| macOS, Apple Silicon and Intel | Taurus_0.7.7_universal.dmg |
| Windows | .msi / .exe |
On the Mac, open the .dmg and drag Taurus to Applications. It is notarised by Apple, so it opens without a warning. The universal build also runs on Intel Macs. It is built and notarised, but has not been tested on an Intel Mac yet.
macOS
- Agents start from Finder too. Claude Code, Antigravity (
agy) and Grok Build (grok) are found through your login shell's PATH (#206). - Config and sessions live in
~/Library/Application Support/Taurus(#208). - Mac-native keys and menu. ⌘Q asks before quitting when agents are running. ⌘T, ⌘W, ⌘1–9 and ⌘⇧[ / ⌘⇧] are real menu items. ⌘C / ⌘V work in the terminal, and ⌃C still interrupts (#216, #229).
- Closing a tab ends the agent's whole process tree, including detached children (#218).
- Dropzone and "Paste object" work with Finder (#210, #212). Paths such as
/Users/…open in the preview (#214). - Voice: text-to-speech through the macOS voices. Dictation uses a macOS build of the same local speech engine, with microphone permission (#222, #231, #237).
- Inbound SSH recognises your network and runs commands through your login shell (#220).
- A Mac added as a machine is recognised as POSIX and shown as macOS (#202, #234).
- The folder picker no longer hangs the app (#204).
Looks (all platforms)
- System theme as the default. It follows light/dark and the accent colour of Windows or macOS, with the system font. On macOS the sidebar is Liquid Glass, and "See-through sidebar" puts it over your desktop (#240, #249).
- Themes trimmed. Catppuccin went into Dracula (they were measurably the same), and Aqua is now "Aqua (2001)" (#243).
- Icons are a separate choice: Standard, or Line icons. Each theme picks its own default (#245).
- Collapsible logo at the top left. The sidebar logo is now the bull from the app icon (#247, #253, #256).
Also
- A copied selection is trimmed, not padded (#177). A new remote session is a new session (#182).
- You name the agent; the source only proposes a name (#184). A work process can come from GitHub (#186).
- Pinning a model version is visible, and Grok Build joins as a third agent (#191). The launch form now offers it too (#264).
- Preview links to neighbouring pages work, and anchors jump (#193).
- Dictation without a microphone shows one readable message, and toasts can be clicked away (#238).
