Window after a released device

A window whose D3D9 device was released no longer keeps showing that device's last frame over what the application draws next.

  • The metal view kept for the window's next device is hidden while it waits, so the window shows its own GDI drawing again (#1166)
  • With the winemac change for athei/mach9#24, which keeps the client view shown across window surface flushes while a metal view presents through it, a hidden metal view counts as gone, and the next flush hides the client view (#1166)
  • Between two devices on one window, the window shows its window surface until the next device attaches. That device still takes the kept layer, so the Metal HUD's GPU time carries over as before (#1166)
  • A borderless window the metal view covered gets Wine's surface image back as soon as its device goes, instead of showing nothing until Wine's next flush (#1166)
  • A plain Reset does not park the view and is unchanged (#1166)

Internals

  • The end-to-end test of a second device on a released device's window runs in a process of its own and reads the layer log, so it fails when the attach falls back to a new view instead of reusing the kept one (#1166)

See INSTALL.md inside the archive for installation.
