I use JetBrains products and they have an option to "Save files automatically if application is idle for __ sec.".

I would like this package to provide this feature and not require a blur/loss of focus of the Atom window to trigger a save.

When I type into Google Docs, my changes get saved when I momentarily stop typing and probably more often. Such high-frequency saving would be useful to avoid even small setbacks when Atom crashes.

@Telofy I believe what you're asking for is being worked on (or at least, something similar) in atom/atom#10605.

The package atom-idle-autosave does this. I would use it for now and believe when it becomes popular the Atom team will take note and work on moving it to the core packages.
