Light-hearted animations for the seasons, laid over your site on the dates you choose.
- Halloween: ghosts, bats, spiders and pumpkins wander in from the edges. Click one to banish it.
- Bonfire Night: fireworks burst over the page now and then.
- Christmas: gentle snow, and a gremlin who creeps towards a present at the foot of the page. Squash him before he steals it.
- Easter: painted eggs roll past and hatch into chicks when clicked, and Bertie, a black and white Dutch rabbit, hops by. Click him and he does a binky.
- Thanksgiving: turkeys dash about and flap off in a flurry of feathers.
Each effect has its own dates, with Easter and Thanksgiving worked out for you every year. Visitors get a small on/off button, and anyone whose device asks for reduced motion starts with effects off. The page underneath stays fully usable: the effects sit in their own layer that only catches clicks on the creatures themselves, and they never appear on administration pages.
Other modules can add effects of their own; see seasonal_effects.api.php.
