🚀 Notesify v1.2.0 — Smarter Iris, Smarter Notes

This release brings a major upgrade to Iris, making her more capable of understanding your notes, taking actions, and retrieving information when the current editor context isn't enough.

✨ What's New

• Global Note Actions — Iris can now create and update notes directly from Global Chat. This feature is still being refined, so some note creation or update requests may not behave exactly as intended. We're actively working to improve its reliability and accuracy.

• Bounded Agentic Loop — Iris can now perform bounded multi-step reasoning with tool calls, allowing her to retrieve additional information and continue the conversation seamlessly.

• Contextual Document Retrieval — Added get_note_content, allowing Iris to retrieve the complete active note only when the available editor context isn't sufficient.

• Smarter Context Handling — Iris prioritizes local editor context and avoids unnecessarily fetching the entire note, keeping interactions more efficient.

• Minimalist AI Telemetry — Reworked AI activity indicators into lightweight status messages such as Reading note..., Searching the web..., Reading webpage..., and Saving memory....

• Dynamic Teaching Mode — Iris can now route teaching-focused requests to a dedicated teaching model while using a faster model for general conversations.

• 3-Layer Iris Constitution — Refined Iris's instruction architecture into a more token-efficient separation of core behavior, tool contracts, and dynamic context.

🛠️ Notes

This release focuses heavily on Iris's underlying reasoning and tool architecture. Some AI-powered note actions are still experimental and may occasionally produce unexpected results. More improvements to reliability, editing accuracy, and agentic behavior are already in progress.
