🚀 What's New in Notesify v1.3.2

This update brings smarter AI writing tools, workspace-wide note search, smoother responses, improved diagrams, and a more flexible writing experience.

✨ 1. Inline AI Writing Commands image

Meet your new writing shortcut. Type / anywhere in the note editor to access Iris's AI writing commands without interrupting your workflow.

  • /draft — Generate new content with Iris.

  • /continue — Continue writing from where you left off.

  • /summarize — Turn lengthy notes into concise summaries.

  • /explain — Make complex content easier to understand.

✍️ 2. Review AI Suggestions Directly in Your Notes

AI-generated text and code now appear directly at your cursor, letting you review suggestions in context before accepting them.

  • Accept: Keep the suggestion with Ctrl/⌘ + Enter.

  • Discard: Remove it with Esc.

  • Try Again: Generate another version.

No disruptive pop-ups or unnecessary context switching—just a more natural way to work with AI.

🧠 3. Iris Can Search Across Your Notes

Iris can now search and retrieve information from across your Notesify workspace, helping you connect ideas and make better use of your existing knowledge.

  • Find information: Ask questions about information stored in your notes.

  • Compare notes: Explore differences, connections, and shared ideas.

  • Combine insights: Bring information from multiple notes together into one answer.

  • Get context-aware answers: Iris can read relevant note content to provide more informed responses.

Whether you're studying, researching, or organizing ideas, your notes can work together instead of remaining isolated documents.

⚡ 4. Smoother AI Responses

We've improved how AI responses appear while they're being generated.

  • More fluid text streaming at 60 FPS, with support for 120 Hz displays.

  • Reduced visual stuttering during long responses.

  • Smoother scrolling as new content appears.

  • Improved rendering efficiency to keep conversations responsive.

Enjoy a more fluid reading experience, especially during longer AI responses.

📊 5. More Reliable Mermaid Diagrams

AI-generated diagrams are now handled more carefully, reducing interruptions caused by incomplete or malformed diagrams.

  • Fewer broken diagrams: Waits for the diagram to finish generating before compiling it.

  • Smarter formatting: Corrects several common diagram syntax issues automatically.

  • Improved error recovery: Attempts to resolve common formatting problems before displaying an error.

Visualize complex ideas with fewer interruptions from diagram errors.

🪟 6. A Better AI Result Inspector

Review and use AI-generated content in a flexible floating panel.

  • Insert at cursor: Add generated content exactly where you need it.

  • Replace selection: Replace selected text with your chosen result.

  • Copy easily: Copy results without inserting them into your note.

  • Expanded desktop view: Open a wider reading area for longer responses, tables, and code.

  • Mobile-friendly layout: Review results while keeping your document visible.

🎨 7. Improved Callouts and Document Styling

Make your notes easier to scan with an improved visual style for callouts.

Tips, warnings, insights, methods, revisions, and takeaways now have more distinctive layouts that help important information stand out.

We've also improved how these blocks are rendered to prevent document display issues.

🤖 8. Three AI Quality Modes

Choose the response style that best fits your needs.

  • Fast: Quick answers for everyday questions.

  • Thinking: More careful answers for difficult questions.

  • Pro: Our best answers for complex questions and tasks.

Switch modes depending on whether you need a quick response, a more considered answer, or help with a challenging task.

💬 9. A More Adaptive AI Chat Interface

The AI chat composer now adapts better to different workspace layouts, including when your notes list, editor, and Iris panel are open together.

  • A cleaner, more compact toolbar in narrow panels.

  • Clearer controls and improved visual contrast.

  • Easier access to voice dictation.

  • More intuitive web-search controls.

Enjoy a more comfortable chat experience across different screen sizes and workspace layouts.

🚀 10. More Efficient AI Operations

We've improved how Notesify prepares AI requests to reduce repeated processing.

By reusing eligible cached instructions, supported AI operations can avoid repeatedly processing the same information.

This can help reduce response times and token costs for repeated actions such as summarizing, explaining, rewriting, continuing, and creating notes. Actual savings depend on the AI model and provider.

🚀 11. Faster Loading & Smoother Performance

We've optimized Notesify's rendering, loading, and caching to deliver a faster, more responsive experience.
