• Addons: five hooks report job lifecycle and progress to addons:
  on_job_started, on_job_updated (rate-limited to roughly 1 Hz),
  on_job_paused, on_job_resumed and on_job_finished with the job's
  outcome. Plugin API version 23 -> 24, additive (#614)
• Machine: the jog speed set in the bottom panel is remembered per
  machine instead of resetting to 1000 mm/min (#617)

• Machine: the soft limit rows in the hardware settings and wizard are
  retitled to "X Min Distance from Origin" and friends, with an
  explanation that the values are distances from the origin corner
  into the bed, not machine coordinates (#624)

Fixed

• Machine: disabling soft limits now persists across restarts; the
  toggle silently reverted to enabled with full-axis bounds (#624)
• Machine: soft limits clamp the machine position against the physical
  bed again, so right and top jogs are no longer blocked after the
  work origin was zeroed at an object, and no jog can run past the bed
  into a firmware soft-limit alarm (#623)
• Canvas: the green work origin marker is visible again; it was drawn
  thinner than a pixel at most zoom levels (#623)
• Canvas: perfectly horizontal or vertical lines are selectable again
  and get a thin but fully usable selection box with resize handles
  (#609)
• Material test grid: a Line Interval of 0 resolves to the laser spot
  size as the setting's description promises, instead of exhausting
  memory (#620)
• Material test grid: only the speeds the grid actually engraves with
  are validated against the machine's maximum, removing the bogus "Cut
  speed (500 mm/min) exceeds the machine's maximum" warning on
  machines limited to the grid's top speed (#607)
• macOS: closing a dialog while the main window is in native full
  screen no longer blanks the window; dialogs detach their transient
  parent so GTK's macOS backend cannot tear the full-screen window out
  of its Space (#616)
