The 9.6 exported-snapshot-name repair. Full details in the CHANGELOG and ADR-0009.
Fixed
- A plugin-decoder snapshot on PostgreSQL 9.6 can adopt its exported snapshot. 9.6 exports a two-part snapshot name (
00004E57-1) where 10 and later export three parts; theSET TRANSACTION SNAPSHOTallowlist admitted only the three-part form, sodecoder: :wal2json/:pglogicalwithsnapshot: trueon 9.6 failed its back-fill:snapshot_failedand held:snapshot_incomplete, fail-closed, delivering nothing. The allowlist now admits both forms with the same character class. A new connected leg (plugin_snapshot_pg96_test.exs) back-fills on a real 9.6 while a writer commits across the handoff and asserts every row arrives exactly once across snapshot and stream — CI's 9.6 and 12 rows execute it (receipt run 37122961851).
