With these new functions, the user can choose which functions to use depending on whether the element is selected or not. This closes basti1302#2 PS: I removed the `Random` import from the tests because it was not being used.

This has landed in 1.4.0. I took the liberty to rephrase the documentation because "apply different functions" did not fit very well IMHO after the API change we discussed. Anyway, thank you very much for the contributions. Great, clean PR. 👍 |
